Making ADR Thread - hold times, IT vents, and general whine!

Was up this morning to make my ADR's. I held for 25 minutes then got the 'new CM on the block'. I know how it is to the be new but I was suggesting that he look at the whole week we were going to be at WDW for times open for Le Cellier. He put me on hold twice to find out info (such as when the supper time started for Chef's which I knew the time). Total time on phone was 1 hour & 22 minutes. Thank goodness I had charged my cell phone last night. In 2006 - about 5-10 minutes on hold & total of 15 minutes to get ressies.
 
i finally got thru after 45 minutes, got one ADR set, she was looking for my second, and disconnected me!!!!
 
Woo Hoo! I'm all done! I got everything we wanted at the times I wanted! Total time was 78 minutes & 46 seconds. I had lots of static on the line during the music, but everything else was perfectly clear. It was odd. No issue with having a transfer to another CM this time either! Overall, not as bad as I thought. Reading these forums really helped the time go much faster! :goodvibes

Anyone else have issue with the survey at the end? The CM I had was awesome! Whenever I tried to select "excellent", it told me I had made an invalid entry so I just hung up. I didn't want to leave anything less than that! Well, except for the question about hold time maybe.. :rotfl:
 
Called at 7am. Got a person at 7:40am. I got all my ressies except no F! packages left.:sad1: I also booked some tours. I have the reservations but something was wrong with the system so they couldn't apply my visa discount. They told me to call back another time to correct that. Finished the call at 8:15am. Whew - glad that's done.
 

Got everything but the Fantasmic dining package, she said there is a problem with the system with those. :confused3 Replaced Hollywood & Vine with Cape May Cafe.

Got Le Cellier for dinner! :cool1: This will be our first time there.

Good luck to everyone else making ADRs, my total wait/ reservation making time was almost exactly 1.5 hours.
 
waited 30 minutes... started to make my reservations then got cut off!!!:mad:

just called back and now on hold again...
 
Oh my....I made 10 ADRs this morning with no problems, was done by 7:40. When I got off the phone I double checked my list and realized I forgot one. So I called right back and I've been on hold for 151 minutes. :scared: I know I'm crazy. Luckily I don't have any plans for this morning, I'm just hanging out at home. And I'm not freaking out because this one ADR is not too important to us, we got all the important ones in the first phone call. But since I'm home and have the time right now I'm continuing to hold. My family is laughing at me :rotfl2: I feel bad for other people who haven't gotten through at all yet today if this is the normal wait time.
 
waited another 30 minutes but got all my reservations i wanted, including F! dinner package at Brown Derby at 5pm!!
 
Called at exactly 7:00 am and total phone call time was 39 minutes for 9 ADRs. I consider myself very lucky...

Only time that varied significantly was a June 15th res. for dinner at Le Cellier. Had to go an hour later.

I asked the cm how the new reservation system was going.... she said "well, it's going...", haha.

I'm on hold now I have benn holding for 10 minutes so far. Wil see how it goes. I may call back during the week as it seems to be less of a hold wait.
 
Posted this under sticky and received PM to post here. Hope this info helps someone.

Called yesterday morning at 7am. It took 3 hours to make 3 days of reservations - 5 reservations total. The CM kept having 'problems' and making me repeat everything. Very frustrating. We 'had' a reservation for LeCellier and some how she 'lost' it and we had to start all over and by the time she re-entered all our info the reservation was no longer available. She said to call back and keep trying. The real frustration was we were not able to make ADRs for our entire stay (we are staying on site for 7 days).

Linked reservations/resort changes be advised of ADR difficulties

We are staying at the BCV and have 2 contiguous reservations that are 'linked' together. We added on the first 2 nights to an existing reservation and they gave us a different reservation number for it and said we would just run down on the day of check out and check right back in - no changing rooms. We were asked to remind them at checkin that the reservations were 'linked'. So we have one reservation for 2 days, a second for 5 days both at the same location.

We were only allowed to make reservations for the days covered under the first reservation and told we had to call back at the 90 day mark for the check in day for the 2nd reservation and could then make ADRs for the rest of our stay. The CM verified that we were staying on site for the full 7 days but because there was a checkin/checkout the new system would not allow her to book the rest of our ADRs. She did put us on hold and asked for help but was told the system just wouldn't let her do it. They did suggest we call reservations and see if they can 'rebook' the entire trip under one reservation but then she said, that 'might' cancel the reservations we just made

Problem with multiple reservations on same date when people sharing a room, e.g. couples sharing a 2 bedroom villa want separate dining reservations
Also, we are in a 2 bedroom villa with family. When we tried to split up (aunt/uncle celebrating 40 yr anniversary) so that 2 people could go to one restaurant while the other 4 of us could go to another the system would not allow that either. It kept telling her a conflict existed. She had to get help making that reservation also, they added 'notes' into the system explaining we were a party of 6 and 2 people going to one reservation and 4 to another. I was told the system automatically deleted the reservation 2 times and we had to start all over. When I call on Monday I'm going to verify both reservations still exist in their system. I gave up on splitting up any other reservations and just make the rest for all 6 of us together. The CM did say they had notified 'upper management' regarding this difficulty and hopefully it would be fixed soon.

So we are patiently waiting until Monday to try again to see what reservations we can get and hopefully none of them will be lost!

hmmm...I called today and made reservations and I was only on hold for about 7 or so minutes. :S
 
Called at exactly 7AM this morning. About a 30 minute wait. Excellent CM. Got all reservations at approx. time wanted except Mama Melrose Fantasmic Pkg. on June 18. Only had a 3:30 and I didn't take it. To early for dinner.
All in all a pleasant experience.

I guess I havent' been keeping close enough tabs on the boards to realize that there were so many issues with making ressies. I was stunned when I was on hold as long as I was, and then I couldn't get Sci Fi Dine In OR 50s Prime Time (at all!) on June 13th (my 90 day mark). It's frustrating when you call in as early as you're possibly allowed to and still can't get a reservation!

I had the exact same problem this morning. I was told that the old system could handle split stays, but the new one couldn't. I have 8 nts at one resort, the first a room only for one night and the other 7 a pkg. I was only able to make ADR's this am for my 1st stay (the day of arrival and the check out day). I was told the same thing as you, that we had to call back tomorrow( the 90 day mark) for the 2nd reservation at which time I could book the rest of my ADRs. Very frustrating!
 
I called a little bit ago to try to switch my two Epcot ADRs, Garden Grill and Rose & Crown, and there was nothing open for Garden Grill on 12 Jun. I can't believe how fast everything fills up. These aren't even the most popular places.

Well, I hate to say that I'm glad someone else had the same problem :hug: but maybe if more people let them know this is an issue they will address it. The CM was really nice and just as frustrated - she kept saying 'it should let me do this, I can see both your reservations and you are on site'. I was put on hold multiple times while she tried and asked a supervisor to help. I'll be calling back first thing in the morning to try again. Good luck tomorrow and hope you get your ADRs.
 
Has the number to call for dining changed? Wait times seem horrible. This is due to the new system?

Well I only had to hold 22 min. this morning (vs. 90 min. yesterday) and I did get all the rest of my ADRs for around the times I wanted. :banana: I hope you get all of yours too!
