Making ADR Thread - hold times, IT vents, and general whine!

Wait times were only about 15 minutes this afternoon. However, the last ADR I am trying to get is the Wonderland Tea Party and apparently they do not have that one loaded onto the new system yet.

We also check in on June 1st and I called yesterday and got Akershus for June 5 for lunch.

YAY!!!!! I am so glad for you....maybe we will run it each other at some point...I will be wearing Minnie Bride Ears everywhere

When do you check in? I check in June 1 and got Akershus for breakfast on 6/4, so that is odd I would get on the phone again and see if you have any more luck.

UGH!!!!! I check in on the SAME day and wanted Akershus for the SAME day as you. They told me on the 1st they couldn't do it. I called again an hour ago and they COULD do it! Only time they had left though was 8:05 P.M.! We took the ressie because it is the one place we really wanted to take my DD but she's only 2 and used to eating at 5:00 sharp. UGH!!!! I certainly hope she's in a good enough mood to smile for the camera and eat!

I wish I'd had a smarter CM on my 90 day mark! UUUGGHHHHH I just don't get it. We check in on the SAME day, we called for ressies on the SAME day and we wanted the SAME restraunt on the SAME date...and I couldn't have it and you can! no fair!

Where ya staing? I'm at POP. We may see eachother around but it definitely WON'T be at the princess dinner. You'll be at home in the resort asleep before we get seated!

seriously this system is messed up and you are right it is not playing fair I would keep trying as you get closer you never know you might get a better time....or even better arrive early and see if they can seat you early I have heard that that can happen. As for asleep NO WAY I will be at Biergarten 7:30 for dinner and then its EMHs night, now I am not a big fan of this but for a park like Epcot I could never leave so too cool....I will have to be dragged to bed BTW we are at POFQ

I LOVED POFQ when we went 2 years ago. i think it was building 4 we were int and it was SO CLOSE to the bus station! Nice and relaxing there. you'll love it!

I am a little late in posting this but it has been a looooong day.

I called exactly at 6:AM my time this morning 3/4 and my call was answered immediately. The CM said she had to put me on hold because I was calling for June 2 and beyond. She almost sounded apologetic. She even asked me if it was O.K. that she put me on hold. I wonder what she would have said if I had said no. I was then on hold for 8 minutes. I got all the ADRS I wanted at the exact times I asked for.

6/3 Boma
6/4 T-Rex (already had this one)
6/5 Kona
6/6 MBYBBQ
6/7 Donald's Breakfast
6/8 O'Hana

We even made small talk between reservations, the CM would tell me if she had been to the restaurant and give her opinion etc. I hung up the phone at 6:21 AM.

I told the CM that I was shocked we got done so fast and she indicated that things were getting better with the new system and that the wait times were shorter than at first.

There is hope for everyone that the kinks are getting worked out.

Hope you don't mind me butting in but I haven't read through all the posts but seeing this one I take it you are a CM. We are a family from the UK who will be coming over to see you in July and planning on making our ADR's in mid April, we have booked through a UK travel company so my question (eventually) is what reservation number would you accept because we only have a reservation number for the booking with the agent!

I am not sure what number but your reservation can be looked up 3 different ways including last name, resort and arrival date!! No worries you WILL be found!!!

FYI.....yesterday there was actually time between calls BUT at 9pm ET the calls stack up and # of guests on hold gets HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, think about what time of the day CM's that arrive for a 7am shift and those the close at 1015 have an overlap.....seems like a good time to call!!!

I call on Sunday and my head is spinning after reading this I am so worried baout not getting what we want and being on hold half the day. Could I call at like 6:30am and it will put me on hold till 7am when they open?

My sister-in-law called this morning to make their ADR's. She said she called at exactly 6 a.m. central time, got right through and was able to get everything she wanted. Some were a little earlier or a little later than she initially wanted but she says it will work fine for them. She called me at 6:27 so it took her less than 30 minutes!!!! I hope this means they are working out the kinks. She also said they were able to make all her ADR's and then give her the confirmation numbers at the end - something they were unable to do with me on Sunday. Good luck to everyone else calling!!

No, you'll get a message saying they aren't open yet. The phone lines opened for me EXACTLY when my cable box struck 7am

I called this morining at 6 am central and was able to get everything I wanted (for a party of 10). I had to be flexable about the times (sometimes eating at 5 when I wanted 7) but I was very please with my wait time, less than 20 minutes, and the customer service that I got.
Now I just have to count down my 90 days to the poly!

Phew... got mine today but it was more stressful than needed. I had booke two things that I had to pay for up front. It took FOREVER for the 8 days of reservations to be made and then I noticed that my cell phone was dying. I was stressing that it would die before she tooke my credit card number.

Its also odd that now you get all the confirmation numbers at the end of the call and not after you make the reservation!

OK, I don't get this. We are calling basically as soon as we possibly can but we are already having to adjust times? Yikes!

HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call now, there are no calls on hold!!!!

Remember something when making res in the new system vs the old system.....

The old system gave ALL the available times...the new system gives the closest to the time range put in!!!! And only ONE offer comes back. If dining time at 600pm is important to you then I would ask for 630, the system searches 30 minutes each way of the TIMES put in. Asking what is available is not a good idea, if 450pm comes back that is the offer you will get. Digging for times is not an option with this system!!

Sorry you didn't get the time you wanted.

I have read more than once here on the boards (but to be honest, don't know if it's true) that Disney "releases" some tables at the exact 90 day mark so people staying off site actually have a shot to get some ADR's. If I'm counting correctly, 90 days for 6/4 should be tomorrow. It's worth try anyway.

Second, if that doesn't work, try calling at around the 45 day mark from your arrival date. Disney vacation packages have to be paid in full 45 days from the arrival date and maybe some people will have had to cancel.

Still no wait if you call right now Just called to flip around 2 meals, I thought that Ohana might be a bit too much the first night so I swapped it for Kona, as we can select lighter fare there like a salad or sushi.

I didn't wait at all and I had no trouble getting the dates and times I wanted.

May 30th Kona Cafe 8:05pm

May 31st Ohana 6:25pm

AND I just cancelled

May 30th Ohana 7:55pm

May 31st Kona Cafe 6:10pm

Our ADRs have been a mess... There is a window in early June where they're transferring calls (mess #1 -- you wait twice on hold) to CMs apparently booking only on the new system. The new system is apparently having fits over us having some canceled package reservations, some not, and how that figures in to our 90 day mark. Whatever the cause, we've been on the phone most of this morning.

The latest (rather amusing) problem is a change to one ADR that we just made this morning: We were told that we can't make ADRs yet, even though we had just done so. To work around that, the CM entered a bogus ressie for earlier in the week, and after accepting that one, it took the later one, but then something else went wrong and we need to 'call back in an hour'. But, it's all good; we're going to Disney (in 90 days)
