Making ADR Thread - hold times, IT vents, and general whine!

I don't understand why so many people are having issues... I just called and was through and booked 2 ressies withing 6 minutes....

The problem is only for bookings being made on the new a la carte system. If you want an ADR after 25th May thats when the problem arises.:eek:
 
1 hour and 45 minutes - still holding.

What is with Disney's IT Department????

I really feel for the poor cast members answering the phones. Since "your phone call may be monitored or recorded" I say the people who need evaluating are the clueless administrators, not all of us in the trenches. Customers and CM's are all just hapless saps in the same leaky boat.
 
I finally got in after 2hrs and 45mins! But I did get all mr ressries I wanted at the time as well!:cool1:
 

Glad I'm leaving in April. I held for 10 mintues earlier this week. 2 hours yikes.:scared1:
 
I can understand the odd person being misdirected....but the same person....5 times in one day? That's insane.

on hold 34 minutes....hopefully im in the right line now....as every other time i've talked to a CM within 15 mins.
 
Are you freak'n kidding me...I waited on the phone for 1 hour 30 minutes on hold and the agent told me my 90 days doesn't start till tomorrow????? What the heck?? My trip starts May 31st. She said they are only taking ressies for vacations starting May 30th??

I am sooo confused...can anyone help! Should I call back?
 
is it because its Sunday? I've read more threads with the longer wait times have occured on Sundays? (I could be really off base - but just wondering if there are fewer CM's on Sunday?)
 
Oh I agree with you!

I'm not upset at the agents, its really not their fault. Its a crappy situation that no one benefits from.

I'm still really frustrated and I will be lodging a complaint to Disney. My situation is that I have selected the correct "department" 5 times today and was never directed to the right CM. Its not their fault, its not mine, it is the system. Having an IT background this is unacceptable. That is way too many errors. If one person is misdirected 5 times, imagine how many others are being misdirected!

Now, that being said, the other 5 times I called I was put in touch with a CM within 15 minutes. This time I've been on hold 46 minutes. I'm really hoping I'm in the right line now!

Unfortunately today they are taking reservations for May 30th. I was in the EXACT same situation yesterday. I called and they told me I was one day early :hug:

EDIT: On hold 54 minutes and counting now
 
on hold for about 5 minutes this morning....got everything I wanted :)

it's really stressful work. Think about it...we all have to deal with it for maybe a couple hours every few months. The phone agents are dealing with this 40 hours a week!! I don't envy them and I don't miss being a phone agent LOL.
 
I am May 31-June 7th, and I have tomorrow (March 2) as my day to call-- so dreading it! Ironically, I have waited with much excited anticipation for this day to arrive!:lmao:

I am very out of the loop on the ADR news. What is causing the delay? Is the new system finally up?
 
I agree and it's terrible that you feel you HAVE to wait on hold so long to get to be able to have a nice sit down meal. Now that ADR's are at 90 days, it's a huge frenzy to make them. At least with the old 180 days it was much more relaxed.
 
It seems there is a "special department" to book ADRs from May 26th to June 9th 2009. It also seems there is some confusion among the CMs and I have been told that certain CMs can book ADRs BEFORE May 26th and others can book ADRs AFTER that date. But I've also been told that some CMs can book BEFORE May 26th, some can book BETWEEN May 26th and June 9th and others can book AFTER June 9th.

Seems the system upgrades are causing headaches for ALL, guests & CMs

Your message is clear. I have been putting off my reservations because I am just not looking forward to dealing with it. But when I decide to call, I will try to be calm.... :scared1:
