DH and I are heading to BWV next month (our first "no kids" Disney trip)...:thumbsup2 We are in a studio, standard view. We rented points from a DVC member online. After reading all the reviews and reports, I want to request a top floor...it's said that it's quieter, and you have a balcony as opposed to a patio. We would probably like to be away from the elevators, too. Since the member made the reservations for us (studio, DME..) would he have to place the request? Can I do it online, or can I call? I have the reservation number, but I wasn't sure if it needed to be handled by the DVC member. Thanks for any info. Looking forward to our first stay here!

The member needs to have the request added to the reservation. List the request in order of importance.

We will be there in four weeks and we also have a Standard View Studio and I requested, "close to tennis court". Here's hoping it is granted.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

LOL, being away from the elevators at BWV shouldn't be a hard request to get. The long, long hallways and walking distance to get to an elevator/lobby is a frequent complaint about the resort. Be careful what you ask for.

Don't count on it. We were there in January, standard studio and my top request was FAR away from the elevator/lobby. We were 4 doors away from the lobby/elevator. We did go back to see if it was possible to move and told no availability. I have to say, I rarely to never get any request at BWV and we stay here at least 3 trips a year. I just got off the phone this week to make yet another attempt of a room request for my early May visit. Again I asked for far, far, away from the lobby/elevator, then high floor. I do have to admit that in January while I didn't get my far away from the lobby I did get 4th floor, so the noise wasn't too bad from the luggage pickup that I got to see each morning. I'm getting to know the room numbers now and if the room's second digit is a 0 I get nervous. It is funny though, while in the elevator there was a family complaining about being so far away and they asked for close to lobby and we just shook our heads because we would've gladly switched places with them. We use the parking lot, so being close to the tennis court or canal is easier for us.

I kinda figured that. I guess we can wait and see, no big deal. We are really not big on the views...rather save the xtra money, but I was just curious... I have read a lot of posts about "Boardwalk" and "Pool/Courtyard" view...are the "standard" rooms basically all facing the parking lot, or might we see a tree or something?? Thanks...

Parking lot or main driveway including the DME drop off and porte-cochère. Too close to the lobby and you might find the luggage handling area with truck deliveries objectionable.

The view is standard for a reason. :goodvibes
