Making a Payment with Gift Card

I am trying to make a payment online using a Disney Gift card ... keeps saying I am entering the wrong card info???? I really do not want to call ...I entered to Account number (part of which I had to scratch off) but there is no area to enter the Security Code... any ideas about this one ? I feel like I have been through this before maybe when I bought park passes... thanks!

Make sure you pick the proper card type. There is a Disney gift card type versus just the regular CC type. That type doesn't require a CVV code

I've been paying with gift cards for our upcoming cruise. You just have to enter the acct number, you don't enter the security code. At least that's how I've been doing it and haven't had any problems.

Yep - I chose Disney GC option - entered the Account Number - (checked balance before it is a legit card) and still says enter a valid account number

When I had that issue a few times recently I called and was told by a CM that you can't use the gift card to make a partial payment online - you must call to do that. I didn't recall that in the past, does anyone else? Or maybe I'm just not remembering it correctly, because the CM was certain it has always been this way. I would think if that GC payment would payoff the balance it should work though?!

I've applied Disney gift cards online to our reservation in the past. Just partial payments at a time. Didn't pay off the cruise with gift cards. Haven't done it recently, however.

Could be just a case of the DCL CM not really knowing the answer (not unusual).

I've had about a 50-50 success rate with gift cards online. I can't find a pattern. Sometimes mobile, sometimes chrome, $50 ones, $100 ones. About half don't work online but the Cm at the 800# can apply them.
