Making a guide book for people with NO knowledge of WDW!

Me too (apologies in advance for when I copy it all!:lmao:)

Right, this is the cover, it matches all of our wedding stationary and is awaiting a photo from our trip!

This page is also awaiting a photo! Lol. I want the speech bubbles to be by each of us. Might try and get someone to take a geeky photo of us waving 'hi'!

This page could get me arrested for plagiarism were it an essay, hopefully as its not, and as I'mplanning on suggesting my guests buy the giudebook I stole it from I should be ok!!

Lovely!!:goodvibes

I really need to do something - at the moment 90% of my guests are planning on not going to disney and just the other parks so I need to get across how amazing it is!

I can make you one with your wedding colours.

I dunno what the printing etc. is going to cost as of yet, am going to wait for quotes until it's all finished, probably around november/december time.

Aww thats lovely Torsie... bet your enjoying making that... how fun LOL

Aww Torsie, it looks lovely. I hope your guests will appreciate all the trouble you are going to

aw torsie that is beautiful i thought of doing some thing like that i was going to add maps etc and buttons for peoples who first visits it was

also we were going to include shows and fireworks for older guests as i know one of my guests really like lion king show so wanted to tell them about what others disney offer

Ooooh, buttons is a great idea Leanne!

I think what I'm going to do is leave this book as an introduction, and then when it's like 5 months out and people have everything all booked I'll send them a proper planning pack....

So many options!!

:D we are also going to put park maps etc in our packs I want to see if we can buy any thing whilst out there this octber as well x

Heee, me too.

I'd feel a bit cheeky asking for like 30 first visit buttons.....can you buy them anywhere?

I alos hope it'll open their eyes to what a magical place WDW is, as most of them jsut think it's like Alton Towers etc. (one even said 'it is like Butlins' :scared1:)

Always makes me laugh when people say this, Alton Towers is nothing like WDW! In fact one thing i'm always saying is 'Why don't Alton Towers do this, or that etc'. We just don't have anything even trying to be like WDW in the UK, the best we get is a few rollercoasters that make you sick and loads of spotty, swearing chavs stood outside a McDonalds.

Last year i was taking my mum and step dad. The latter is the least likely to choose to go to Disney, he doesn't see anything in the magic, doesn't watch the films and would prefer to sit on a sun bed in an all-inclusive resort. He wouldn't even choose to go to Alton Towers. However my mum wanted to go and he was kinda dragged. He let me do all the planning but i think he wasn't keen about the idea of a plan/schedule. Anyway, we went to all the parks and he loved it. Whilst we were out there he said 'There more than theme parks' and i really saw the kid come out of him, we had such a laugh. Once back he thanked me for all the planning and for the amazing holiday with a disney frame i spotted in World of Disney and it was holding a hand-drawn picture of Mickey in a graduation cap and gown (as i had just graduated).....I am sure you'll guests will realise what it's all about on arrival.

Loving the book idea, but remember some just won't be able to imagine how great it is until they walk through those gates, see the castle and feel the atmosphere!

on our planning session trip i asked reception at pop for 20 of each map and badges and they had no problem, told them it was for a wedding welcome pack and they handed them over

Also got some mickey stickers as well
