Making a Disney themed photobook

Email them and see if they will refund your pre-order then re-order the book & CD for $150.

We have 4 of the photo books and I love them :cloud9:

I hadn't considered this - will give it a try.

Well, I did it. I emailed and they got back to me within a couple of hours to say that would refund me!:cool1: They said it would take 1 or 2 billing cycles. Does that mean months?:confused3 I don't really want to pay for the cd/photobook until I've been refunded for the cd.

An option would be to download the LIDL software.
This allows you to have your own pictures as backgrounds.
Would be best if you loaded your background pics first into some photo editing software to change the opacity and then resave them.

I appreciate your faith in me, but it is misplaced.;) Although I understand the concept, I would have no idea about how to make it work.:)

Does anyone know if it is illegal to purchase this:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/9272747...isney&ga_search_type=user_shop_ttt_id_6415918

and use it as a background on sites like snapfish or tesco photo?
Would they refuse to print it?

I'm getting ready to start working on our photobook and still have the same question. The above mentioned item isn't listed on etsy anymore but I guess similar one will be available.

Does anyone know if I could purchase files of background paper on etsy and then upload them to use as background pictures on photobook sites?
Is that legal?

The Jessica version used to do Disney ones they did in march as I made one for DD x

I've done mine through myphotobook
UK site is here : http://www.myphotobook.co.uk/

their software is more detailed and comprehensive than what they have on photobox.
I used both services and found that myphotobook allowed for more creativity

No Disney theme, but there is a *relatively* easy workaround

Design your own background, from one of your own photograph, or by photoshopping something (like a marquee or disney character on a vertical line at the edges, or whatever your imagination can come up with.

Then put this image as to fill the entire page.
Then add other images on top (the software allows you to place images relative to one another (in front, in back) with different layers, like you would do with overlapping actual pictures.

And why don't you drop by on the DISign subforum and ask over there ? there are lots of DISers who are very talented, and who might want to help create Disney themed images and allow you to use them as backgrounds for your photobook

I've just downloaded the jessops software and can't find any disney backgrounds...

You have to download the backgrounds on from within the software. I have never seen Disney ones on Jessops though. On your user tab on the left of the book layout you are working on there are three little tabs, one of which is backgrounds. If you click and there is nothing there is an option to download more. I think they are sorted into categories. If you are still stuck in an hour I will open mine and talk you through it

I have made lots of photobooks through Jessops and I consider myself an advanced user but have always made or created my own backgrounds.

I am sure ours is jessops we bought it in march was princess theme x

I looked through all the downloadable backgrounds on jessops and couldn't find any Disney ones.

I think I'm going to have to design my own backgrounds making pictures almost transparent and then layer pictures in front of it. Unfortunately my pictures aren't good enough to be used as backgrounds, so I'll have to try and find some online...

Have you tried snapfish?

I might be off the track here a bit but last time we went I bought albums from the disney store, then bought loads of disney themed scrapbooking sets which includes frames embelishments and stickers, also bought non disney for the non dis photos and once home and got photos printed and really enjoyed putting it all together myself....just a thought :goodvibes

 I though that you could make a photo book with Snapfish, just do the cover

I also bought loads of those and you're right - it is such fun! I don't have the time (or the tolerance) for the length of time papers and the like would lie around on a table for me to finish it, but what I did do was scan some of the backing papers and save them as jpg images which I have used in some of my photobooks for backgrounds :thumbsup2

Oh I definitely do not have the patience to do two identical scrapbooks either...

I always thought scanning the paper and using it as backgrounds was illegal, which is why I thought about purchasing backgrounds on etsy
