I'm using two round 8 inch pans... one for the face, and the other round cut in in convex shapes for the ears/bowtie...

Then I am going to frost it.. cover with coconut.. (dying pink coconut for the ears), and decorate with Twizzler whiskers / jelly bean eyes... and pink nose...

Never done this before... we will see how it turns out.

I did this 2 years ago for DD and she loved it!! :)

Lots of fun and quite messy!!! :teeth:

The boys and I did this cake two or three years ago, and I think we ate more of the frosting than we got on the cake. It was a lot of fun. Makes me wish they were younger. Enjoy your cake!

At least you thought to plan ahead! I bought the cake mix and icing but forgot the facial features! We ended up using lifesaver candy for the eyes and icing for the nose and whiskers - my oldest dd said it looked like an alien bunny.

Very cool Cindy. My mom used to make the same cake for us when we were growing up. :) Your kids are giong to love it! :D :D :D

Sounds like a great and fun idea. You'll have to post a picture after. :D

Well, its in the box... it was covered with coconut.. two black jellybeans.. pink nose (robins egg) yellow mouth (more robins egg), twizzlers... pink coconut on the ears... with white robins eggs.. the bowtie... different colors... although the kids called it a "dog bone"

Did you take a picture of it? How did it look?
