My granddaughter wants to do the Arribas brothers make your own tiara for her birthday. The first day we'll have in the MK is her birthday, and I have questions about the process. Is there a time lag between when you make your choices and when it's ready, as in, would we need to come back to get it? How popular is it these days? Is the experience the same if we choose to go to the Disney Springs location earlier in our trip? My biggest concern is that they might be randomly out of something if we wait until her birthday. We could also ride the monorail from Epcot over to the MK the day before her birthday, which is our first day in the parks. Of note, she will be 13 and this is her first trip to WDW, but I'm a WDW vet (she's a bonus granddaughter).

Any other advice would be appreciated! We're having supper with Cindy on her birthday. ☺️

Thanks.

I did it the end of May. I walked into the Main Street Arribas Crystal Arts about 2pm on Memorial Day. There was no line (and while I was doing it, only 1 other person came back to do it.) They have the ability to do 2 people at a time. I would say the whole process took about 20 minutes. You pick out your base tiara (they have 3 different styles - each in silver and rose gold) and then you put the crystals you want into the template. Once you are satisfied with your choices, they put the crystals into the tiara right in front of you. Then, you pay and you can either wear it out or they will box it up for you. I had a good time. I'll put a picture of my tiara at the end of this.

Also - if you have an AP, you can use your discount on this experience. I don't know if the experience at Disney Springs is different. Let me know if you have questions.

Thank you for sharing your experience! This sounds totally do-able on her birthday. We're so excited!

Your tiara is so beautiful! 😍

Wow! What a great idea. I’ve never heard of this but I can see this would be very popular with princesses!!

It's still a pretty new offering. I actually meant to do it on my birthday trip in May but we never made it in there. I'm going to make a point of doing it next month though.

My daughter wants to do this when we're there in September. Maybe I'll make one too.
