I apologize if I spelled that wrong, I do not know anything about Star Wars, but when I go in July my nephew wants to go where you can make your own? Do they even have that? If so, about how much does it cost? Thanks!

Yep, that's the place and that price seems about right. My son does one each time we're there. I think it's a pretty good deal compared to the prices of other souvenirs in the parks. Have fun!

anecdote time: when we were there last fall, two Storm Troopers were walking past Star Tours and a little boy had a light sabre and one of the Troopers took it from him to look at it and dropped it... and it shattered. Oops!

There are two different options, they were $20-$25 for either of them when we were there in February. My BF made one. The child in him couldn't resist.

They do put tape over the light saber, at least our cashier did. Said its park rules for safety, so he MAY not be able to play with until you leave, just a warning.

Still totally worth it though. He gets to customize literally every piece of it.

If you go on star tours, you exit through the shop that has the build your own lightsaber. These are about $25-$35 I believe. There are some cheaper ones that are already made for $12.95 if you find one you like. I didn't look into all the differences though.

The making them are cool. The difference in price is if you have a single sided or double sided light saber (so if he wants one like Yoda or Luke Skywalker its the cheaper price, if he wants one with a colored "blade" on both sides its the higher price).

They have guides if he wants a specific part type (like what parts to use to make Luke's lightsaber) However if that is what he wants he could get a cheaper one that is already put together. If he wants to make his own then it makes more sense.

My husband and I both got double sided ones... which is awesome because between the two of us we can change our lightsabers by switching parts!

Some what related... if your nephew likes Star Wars and likes to build/customize things, star traders (where you make the sabers) also has the build a droid option as well. Same idea as with customizing the light saber but you get to pick from a wide variety of "Droid" parts to make your own personal R2ish droid.

Lots of fun, I have /cough 8 different versions in my collection. :)
