We are going in a few days, being the slow season people suggested I just walk in and wait for service, no need to make appt. I called to make a BBB appt and also asked about Harmony barber for my son's first haircut and also getting girls hair gel/pixi dust. They didn't have any openings!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called back constantly and fianlly got 1 appt. I am using that for my son'ds first haircut! I was just devistated since I waited so long for his haircut that he looks like a girl, just to get his first cut a MK. So,so glad I got in for an appt.

I suggest you make an appt. They are getting so popular and only staff for how many appts they have.

Last we went at RD and had no problem getting into Harmony for DS 1st haircut. I wouldn't worry about not having an appointment unless you want to do it later in the day when the parks are more crowded.

We have walked right in a few days before Christmas as the parade is going on. We've done this the last 2 years. You don't wait in line for just pixie dust but I don't know about the hair gel.

I agree! We got our daughter's haircut in early May. The parks weren't crowded and we had an appointment at 11. Even with the appointment we waited at least 30 minutes! It was well worth it though!

They told me they didn't even have any time for walk in appts. They were booked up for several of the days I asked about.

We will try and do a walk in for the girls when we are there. I am just so excited I am able to get DS first haircut!

Wow I can't believe they're that booked up! First haircut is fun :) We did it with my oldest DD when she was turning 3 and was hoping to do my youngest on the next trip but we have to cancel it since new baby girl is due right in the middle of the planned trip. Guess she'll have to be 3.5 for her first!

We have walked the last 3 trips to get DD hair cut - for the first hair cut it took 2 visits - never bothered to book.

Everytime we have been they have been taking walk ins :goodvibes

Back in 2005 we just made sure we ran right in as soon as the park opened in the morning. We were the 1st one there. Right after us came a family with 5 kids! Glad you got at least the one appt :)

Just did DD's first haircut there this past week. Had a 9:30 appt, but got there early. Still had to wait for the first wave of first timers to get done, about 15 minutes. I think we still got in early, though.

I would definitely make an appt, but beware that no matter what the reservations CM tells you, you will not be allowed into the park before RD unless your appt is for before RD. I was not trying to pull a fast one or anything, but when I set the appt, the reservations CM I spoke with assured me that if I got there before park open, I would be able yo get in early and hopefully get the haircut done before my appt time. When we got there, the CMs at the rope would not let us in because our appt was not until 9:30 (30 minutes after RD). I almost set our CP ressie for 9:30 as well, because the CM on the ozone told me ghat she thought it would be fine if we planned on getting there early anyway. Glad I didn't listen to her and did a CP lunch instead!

we are having my 2 youngest get their first haircuts at disney! my baby girl is 18 months and i have yet to cut her hair. she needs it! but we are waiting a whole year till we get hers done. for now i just put it up. :goodvibes baby boy is only 5 months old, so he has no hair lol!

Just made DS 1 appt for first haircut for 10/2. Tried to get an AM appt but they were booked until 12pm. Glad to have seen here about making reservations!:)

How early do they take bookings. I have called several times for January 2012, and they don't seem to be taking them yet.

Since when do they do appts?

We have always walked in. Next year we will be doing a trip and might be doing the youngest's first haircut if her hair is long enough. Bummer--but I guess it is good, since you probably don't have to wait an hour anymore, eh?

I made an appointment for DD's first haircut this past July (4th of July weekend), and they actually took two walk-in before us since our appointments wasn't until 1 p.m. and we were 30 minutes early.

So, you may actually have some success with just walking in.

I could be wrong but I believe 2 chairs have appointments and 1 chair is for walk-ins.

I've got DS and DD booked for Oct 18th at 5pm. But we have a CP dinner ressie at 6pm and then the MNSSHP at 7pm. Is this enough time between things that we wont feel crazy rushed.

Strange. We walked in on August 24th, and got both my boys in. We just had to wait for the 2 people who were already in the chair when we walked in. :confused3

I just called to make an appointment and was told they only make appointments until noon but I just noticed someone had a 5pm appointment.

I think I need to call back again....
