Make sure you purchase your tickets or upgrade your AP before this weekend

Missed this earlier, sorry.

Email advancedtickets@shadesofgreen.org.

They will send an order form (fillable PDF). Email that back with proof of eligibility (copy of military ID). They will call within a day or so for your credit card number, and ship them FedEx soon after that. You have to be there for delivery to sign. We got ours about a week after I sent the initial email. And they send activated tickets, no need to activate when you arrive.
Thank you for your time and info!

Ugh, I knew this was coming but I really would have liked 2 more weeks before prices went up. Bringing a few extended family members this year, PLUS my son is now 3. So I went from buying 2 tickets to 5 :scared::headache:

Booked our MYW package for Dec 3-7 after having to cancel this same trip for last year.

My AP has not expired yet and I don't want to renew. Can I purchase new AP for future activation?

We don't go till Mid April, package already bought and I'm going to upgrade to the AP when we first get to the park. Guess there is not much I can do then...

We still don't "KNOW" if this increase will, in fact, happen this weekend.
Stay tuned.

Unless your resort package REQUIRES certain tickets to be bought, you can call right now and drop all tickets from your resort stay.
Re-book the resort as "room only" and purchase (separately) any kind of tickets that you want.

Question (feel free to redirect me): I currently have park-hoppers tied to my account for my trip coming up in April. Can I buy more tickets for a hypothetical October trip before the price increase and simply not tie them into my account? I'm just worried about them doing that 'expire 14 days after 1st use' thing if I tie them in now.

1. Can I buy more tickets for a hypothetical October trip before the price increase

2. and simply not tie them into my account?
3. I'm just worried about them doing that 'expire 14 days after 1st use' thing if I tie them in now.

1. Yes.
2. It doesn't matter, one way or the other, if you "tie them to your account."
3. You won't have to "use" them until such time as you choose to do so.
Simply create a "fake name" in your MDX account and transfer all of the tickets that
you don't want to use yet under that "name."
When you are eventually ready to use those tickets, simply transfer each them back to any "real person" in (or connected to) your MDX account.
All that said, remember that any ticket that you buy now will (very likely) expire on Dec. 31, 2018.
So, if you don't visit in Oct., as planned, there is that to consider.

We have a room booked in August through rented points. We take two trips per each annual pass to make it worth it. Two years ago we bought tickets and then upgraded to annual passes on arrival and paid the difference. This allowed us to still book FP at 60 days out. If I buy a Season Pass voucher and dont activate it until we get there, will I still be able to book FP at 60 days out with a room only reservation and no tickets?

So, does it make any sense to buy tickets now when there is no trip planned until 2020/2021? I used to buy tickets for my family before price increases but now I don't know if it will help.

Nope.

Yes.

Owning AP vouchers (even if as-yet unactivated) will absolutely allow advance booking of FP+
(same timeframe and situation as having pre-purchased MYW tickets.)

Thanks for the reply. Do the vouchers expire? If I buy one today and dont use it for the first time until August, is it still valid?

AP certificates currently expire Dec. 31, 2030.
(Yes, that's over 12 years from now.)

Don't ruin it for me LOL - this will be our first experience with military tickets. My DD and her fiancee are both active duty. We have DVC PAPs. Wait, her address with the military is here - I wonder if I can buy hers at the DVC price? Probably won't be a real savings. We are going for 11 days. Waiting for at least one of them to have leave approved before I buy the tickets.

It is my understanding as long as she has the same address as you, you can purchase a DVC PAP for her. She will have to show ID with proof of address.

That's the catch - this is her permanent address but she is stationed overseas. Trying to remember if her Driver's License is still valid and issued by our state. She may have changed it while stationed in another State last year. Her passport came here a few months ago. One more thing to pass the time.

Does her passport have your address? That can be used as well.
