Okay all you Disney pros, help me plan my daughters (Hayley 8 & Sydney 5 ) first day at Disney. Make it Magical.

Wow, what a request. First, are you early or late risers? How many days will you be staying? Do your girls like Princess' (stupid question)? Make sure to call 407-WDW-DINE, 60 days in advance and at 6:58 a.m. EST to get reservations for Cinderella's Table. Research these boards and ask as many questions as you like. Everyone here loves to help when it comes to Disney. Most of all, enjoy yourselves!

Get up early and have breakfast, if not at Cinderella's Royal Table, then at Chef Mickeys. (Note, if it is a MK Early Entry Day, get a 7:00 a.m. PS. The characters have a lot more time for hugs and kisses!)

Go to the Magic Kingdom & get your picture taken on Main Street with the castle in the background.
Go to some great attractions, depending on what your girls want -- Space Mountain? Buzz Lightyear? Splash Mountain? The Carousel? Dumbo? WHATEVER they want, but try to guide them to go to the shortest lines first.

Go to Mickey's Toontown Fair and see princesses, Mickey, Minnie & the gang. If your kids are up to it, just go to the shortest line. Take lots of pictures.

Have lunch at the Crystal Palace and dine on great food with Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.

See some more attractions and go back to the hotel to play in the pool for a while and rest.

Go to dinner at Epcot or MGM and see either Illuminations or Fantasmic. If you go to MGM, do a dinner package. It'sworth it for the great seats.

Be sure to treat them to popcorn adn Mickey ice cream bars, too!

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that priority seatings for Cinderella's breakfast (and I think all restaurants) can now be made 90 days in advance, so if you're going in November it might be tough to get breakfast there. If they really like Cinderella though, you could try dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, otherwise try for the Princess Storybook breakfast in Epcot. Other than that, really no matter what you do it will be a magical day for your girls' first trip.

I have a 5 year old DD. On previous trips I have did the following to make it special for her:

1. Hid a gift in the room. She thought that Mickey, Minnie etc left it for her.

2. Told her they were out of Airel costumes to fit her in Pittsburgh and she would have to ask Airel when we got to WDW. The hid the costume in the drawer with a note inviting her to the MNSSHP. Did the same thing for a charcater meal.

No matter what you do, any trip to Disney is magical! Enjoy

Do a character meal, like Chef Mickey's.

Also, 1900 Park Fair has a princess dinner now.

Cinderella's RT is great for breakfast in the castle, and Akershus in Epcot has some magic to it as well.

At your daughter's age, this would really be a treat.

I would also try to have something waiting in the room for them...maybe autograph books and mouse ears with their names already on them. Or those princess hats, the pointy ones. I think you can have that done. Then I would take either the monorail or the shuttle boats from the Polynesian to MK. Dumbo is always a good start, if it's not too late in the day. ToonTown is a favorite at our house. I would also have the photo taken at the beginning of Main St. We love ours.
It may be a little late to get Cinderella's Royal Table. You could do either Chef Mickey's for your first meal in WDW or Crystal Palace in MK. It all depends on when you are arriving. We loved the monorail ride to Chef Mickeys from Polynesian. Have a great time. YOu are going at my favorite time of year. Your girls will love it.
