Depends upon your personal tastes, IMO.
Obviously it's a Disney-quality resort. You'll have the same type of service and amenities that you would expect at all Disney resorts. Transportation to all parks is via buses. There are three different restaurants available and an impressive pool.
But it's certainly not all things to all people.
The resort theming features a lot of dark woods and animal prints. The pool is nice but no Stormalong Bay.
The restaurants are very highly regarded by most, but if that sort of cuisine isn't your thing, you may be disappointed. The quick service restaurant--The Mara--has some fairly run-of-the-mill offerings to suit all tastes. Things are much more eclectic at Boma and Jiko. Let's just say that if your tastes favor the likes of Cape May Cafe, Beaches & Cream and the ESPN Club, Boma and Jiko may not be high on your list.
I tend to think that folks should sample a resort before judging. AKV may or may not end up being your favorite-but at least go into it with enough optimism to enjoy the trip. Although BCV is your current favorite, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you walk in the door convinced you'll hate AKV simply because you can't walk to Epcot.
Worst-case you'll know not to return to AKV. Best-case, you may discover you have a new favorite resort.
