Our AC is out. It's still so warm out so we have the windows open upstairs. If trying to sleep in an 87 degree house wasn't bad enough, the lot across the street is being built on and the guy clearing the lots is still outside running the backhoe/CRT at 10:30 at night! Beep beep beep..rumble ....beep beep beep.....non stop. I'm dyin' here!

I am so "over" summer weather.. This year has been abnormally brutal in the mountains..

Hope you get your a/c fixed soon - and the builder guy knocks off his work soon.. Do you have a noise ordinance there?

I'm on my way! I don't know about a noise ordinance, but I wouldn't call the cops anyway over something like this. I'll just have to suck it up.

Maybe he's working now because it's cooler outside.. Go give him a hand so he'll get it done sooner.. When you're finished, you'll be so exhausted you won't even notice the heat when you fall into bed..

All kidding aside, I would NOT be able to tolerate the situation you're in right now.. Hope it cools off at least a little so you can get some sleep..

About a week after we moved into our housing the central air conditioning broke down. It was really hot and I honestly couldn't sleep, so I went to my parents home for the night, they live 30 minutes away. My husband had to stay in our housing because he's military and in special training and on call where he has to be at his station in 9 minutes or less. So he sweated it out but he's used to the heat.
