Well, it's only taken me 3 weeks to upload some pictures to Photobucket so I can post some reviews. This doesn't bode well for any sort of detailed report from this trip. Since we'll be returning to the World in just a few weeks, I won't worry about it too much. I'll have my chance for a re-do in June. :)

In a nutshell, there were 6 of us on this trip: dh, 2 teenaged boys, a 7 yo boy, a 5 yo "princess," and me. We had a fabulous time, but it was very different from any of our previous trips. In the past, we've avoided most CS food. However, this was the kids' Spring Break, so the trip was totally for them. Since our children have been to WDW countless times, they requested no sit-down, TS meals. Dh & I thought we'd slip out for some meals on our own, but we also found that we didn't want to waste any of our precious time in the warm weather. Enough about us! On with the reviews....

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at POP Century. Although the resort was completely booked during our stay, we only one time found the food court to be crazy(and that was on our very last morning!). Yes, it was busy; but the lines moved quickly, the CMs were extremely friendly, the eating areas were well-tended, and the food was freshly prepared. For our first POP meal, dh and I split the Turkey Ciabatta and a Greek Salad. Both were very tasty. In fact, dh and I craved that salad later in the week and ordered another to eat by the pool.

The teenagers split the Chicken Mediterranean Flatbread. Dh and I felt this would be better as an appetizer with drinks as opposed to a meal. It was very flavorful!

The little kids ate lots of these during our stay:

The kids' Mickey Waffles are a great deal! The 2 little ones could easily have split an order, but separate orders kept them from spatting. Besides, with our DDE, these were only $3.28/order.

The rest of us ordered these a couple of times during our stay:

Croissant Sandwiches. They were fresh and yummy!

Our first night, we weren't really hungry; so we snacked at Pinocchio Haus. We split an order of Figaro Fries (I had been craving these.), the Grilled Turkey & Bacon Panini, and chicken breast nuggets.

Our 7 yo ds could like on Disney Chicken nuggets and Honey Mustard Sauce.

Beaches 'n' Cream

This is my favorite place for a burger and ice cream at WDW, but I'm sorry to report that dd and I were NOT invited to this lunch. It was strictly boys only. We were SUPPOSED to all be meeting for lunch in Epcot, but the men just COULDN'T wait.

These were the only pictures taken, but I heard that the hungry fellows had quite an assortment of "snacks."

Despite their BnC visit, the gentleman more than gladly accompanied dd and I to Tangierine Cafe.

I just love the CS here!

Evening found us back at the MK...this time at Columbia Harbor House.

It may have been hot and humid outside, but the air conditioning was cranked up within the restaurant. Thus, we couldn't pass-up a bowl of clam chowder.

Younger ds had the chicken that he craves. He didn't mind that it was in the form of nuggets rather than tenders, as in the past.

Dh and I split the Starboard Deck Sandwich.

The next morning, dd and I had a healthy breakfast of Mickey waffles before heading to Disney Studios.

The boys, on the other hand, were a little slower to get going but did indeed join us later. They breakfasted on...

among other yummies from Starring Rolls.

We later lunched at Backlot Express. The big boys all had double cheeseburgers.

They were just so-so, but the teenagers seemed happy.

Younger ds was happy with his chicken nuggets. (Are you noticing a trend here?)

Dh and I shared the Grilled Turkey and Swiss. This was really good and worth a walk to this side of the park, even if it wasn't convenient.

The younger kids and I had dinner in the POP food court.

This was when the little kids became addicted to the parmesan crusted chicken penne alfredo. I cannot tell you how many times they had this throughout the week!

It wasn't the best pasta I'd ever had, but it was really good for CS food.

I had the vegetable lasagna which was a very pleasant surprise. I ate every bit of it!

Somehow, I didn't realize that our dishes came with breadsticks, so I ordered some as a side. They were very good, so we somehow managed to eat them all!
