Hi Again,
So after trying a demo I also wanted to try a hands on demo. I signed up for "Sweet Celebrations - Bronwen Weber - Sharpen our pastry skills while creating your own piece of edible art"

We were going to be making fondant figures. In this case a ghost, pumpkin, and bat. I was a little confused because I thought they said we'd be doing icings from around the world when they mentioned it earlier in the day.

As we worked they brought around a glass of champagne and a slice of cake. Both were good.

Here's my finished product. My ghost looks like she had a bit too much to drink at Food and Wine!

They gave us boxes to carry our finished products but here's the problem. They were giant cake boxes.

I appreciate them giving us something to bring our figures with us but these boxes are completely impractical for carrying around the park. My DH and I had to laugh because walking around later you could see people with the big white box and say yup they did the class!
As we left we were handed a small package with a little bamboo cutting board and a recipe sheet that gave icings from around the world and listed the type of champagne we had. So this still makes me think the class didn't end up being what the original plan was.
While it wasn't quite what I expected I still enjoyed myself.
