Make DVC reservations online??

Do you think we will ever be able to make or change DVC reservations online?
Or even a search for availability?

A few weeks ago I received a letter from DVC asking me to do an online member survey. One of the questions asked was if I would like to be able to make reservations/check availability online. Of course I said yes!! Wouldn't it be great to make a reservation at midnight if that time worked for you?!?!?!?

We've only been members for a short time (1yr) and I was suprised to learn when we bought in that they didn't have these services available on-line. You can do it with II why not DVC?

Search for availability and checking statements would be nice

On-line reservations are not a priority for me (nor for DVC, it would appear)

At one of the presentations on the member's cruise they said that this was coming. It is going to be phased in over time.

FIrst will come the ability to view account information such as profile (address, phone etc.) and point balances, transactions etc. This will probably be a couple of phases as each part is added.

Later they will begin to add the ability to update your profile and then eventually points based transactions. Again it is expected to some a bit at a time in phases. I think the idea is to make sure that each part is working correctly before going on to the next feature.

For example the ability to bank points may become available before the ability to make a reservation etc.

It is coming, they seemed to indicate that we may see the first piece late this year or early next year. They didn't really have a timeframe for the whole project.
