Thursday December 10th is the Christmas Party with Disney Characters!

I got the GKTW newsletter and it was inside. They do a tree lighting and looks like a few extra things. I can't figure out how to copy and paste it here so if you want PM me your email address and I"ll forward it to you!

Uh-oh! This may throw a wrench into our plans! We check out of GKTW the previous day but, correct me if I'm wrong please, I think we could go back for this and I would LOVE to!

Our plans for Thursday are BBB at 2:00PM for all 3 girls and then dinner at 1900 park fare at 7:25. I wonder if we could squeeze a little GKTW Christmas in there too? Probably depends on what time things get started at GKTW. I will look for more details tomorrow when I AM THERE!

Thanks Maroo. Once I get a timeline for the Christmas party I will check into getting a later ressie. I think we would have serious regrets if we missed all of the GKTW Christmas Party!

I am a new-bie here. I joined a few years ago but we are now a Wish family. Our son Ty has been granted a Wish to Disney World. We are in preplanning stages. It is tentitively scheduled for February 14th (Valentines Day) 2010. We will be staying at GKTW. I hope to begin our pretrip thread soon. I have no idea how to get to this thread as I just clicked on someonelses link. If somone can direct me as to what headings this is under I would greatfully appreciate it.

Oh, Maroo! I am SO sorry your trip got ruined! On the other hand, thank HEAVENS it didn't happen two days later, when you were away from home, and may have had an opportunity to expose the kids to it. I hope you feel WAY better soon!

Maroo, I'm so bummed for you! I hate the bugs this time of year! Tessa has missed tons of preschool in recent weeks because I keep hearing about all the classmates who are sick. I'm keeping her home even though she's well! It wouldn't phase her much but she'd give it to the rest of us...

Sloan's wish trip is booked! We will drive to Nashville and stay in a hotel the night of January 22nd. We'll fly out the morning of the 23rd at 8 am. (That's goign to be fun getting 3 kids 2 car seats a booster and countless bags on the hotel shuttle to the airport, then off the shuttle, into the airport and through security that early in the morning!!) We're staying at GKTW and will fly back home the 30th at 3:15. Tommorow marks 5o days until Sloan's dream is granted!!! We're going to celebrate this weekend by renting Up (we've never seen it) and making a Disney themed paper chain countdown! We're soooo excited!!! I can't wait to see Sloan's face. I've got to buy a camcorder between now and then. (Anyone know of a good, low priced one?) He gets so excited now just seeing the fireworks over the castle at the begining of Disney movies. He starts jumping up and down and saying "I want to go there! I want to go there!" I can only imagine how excited he will be when he is actually there!!!

GKTW has camcorders (free to borrow for the week) if you don't get one before you leave. Just take a camera & borrow a camcorder from them. Oh, they record on the mini disc's so if your laptop doesn't have a slide out drive (like mine! ) you'll need to load the disc in a different computer and transfer it to a full sized DVD disc. (just FYI)

Hurray! January will be nice. Not crowded or hot at all. I feel your pain on the airport logistics. I have flown with just me and my two girls many times. I decided never again until at least one is capable of pulling her own weight.

Mamma Mouse, could you call your airline to see if there is luggage assistance available? They may be able to connect you with a skycap to help.

Alternatively, Could someone in Nashville go to the airport with you and get an assistance pass through security to help you?

Skycaps are definitely available in Orlando to help on the other end. The air crew should be able to have one waiting for you at the gate.

I'm not farmiliar with skycap. We're flying Southwest out of Nashville International Airport if that helps any.
