To thank Disney PhotoPass - I would LOVE to start a positive letter writing campaign...I would love for them to get HUNDREDS of letters thanking them for this policy change.

Thanks, again, for advocating for the Wish Kids! I will definitely write thank yous. This brings up a good question...does anyone have a list of people to thank, specifically what address you can send to for Disney, GKTW, and anyone else who helped contribute?

I know it's last minute but I just found out this morning and had a crazy day trying to get pics done, edit the cards and place my order! There are two offers available on Seehere.com for photocards w/envelopes. The first code is NEWBABY and is for 50 FREE 5x7 photo cards. You do pay shipping but mine came to $3 and change. The other code is Freebies4mom-1109 and is for 50 FREE 4x8 photo cards. Again, you pay shipping. You have to place them as two separate orders, as it will not allow two codes to be entered. I was told the codes both expire TODAY but I didn't see it printed anywhere and I don't know what time. My assumption is 12am eastern, which gives anyone reading this now 2 1/2 hours to get it done! (I hope it's okay to share these deals here...)

But this one really was not about me - The Disney spirit really came through on this one because it was totally their idea to make them FREE for all Wish Families.

The secret was bursting!! And I heard the news on a Podcast, so I figured it was now public knowledge and I could tell everyone!

Please send written letters. I figured out when I was working on the problem that the "right" people don't even see the emails we send. We can send them...but they may or may not get to the right person. The person reading the email and responding may not even know about the discount yet. But sending a letter directly to Maggie V. will make sure that the right people get the big Thank You!

I am putting a stamp on mine today - I sent them a Christmas card.

Many of you guys were aware of the little fit I threw last month when I found out Wish Families would have to pay $150 for a PhotoPass CD. Very long story short, when I finally was able to reach the people in charge of PhotoPass and explain that I would really like to see these families be extended the same discount as on-site guests - they agreed....

And trumped my request....

It is OFFICIAL!

Disney is giving EACH Wish Family staying at Give Kids the World a FREE PhotoPass CD. This is a $150 value.


PhotoPass has photographers posted at many places on Disney Property and they will take your picture at the entrance of each park and by other landmarks. They will also take your picture at some character interactions. For Wish Families - they are going to try to train the PhotoPass photographers (which is quite a task, since they have so many) to recognize the button and make sure that they take as many pics as they can of Wish Families as they interact with the characters.

Then you will take the code that you get at GKTW orientation and put that in when you get home (they will give you instructions) and you will receive a FREE PhotoPass CD with Free shipping.

I am a new-bie here. I joined a few years ago but we are now a Wish family. Our son Ty has been granted a Wish to Disney World. We are in preplanning stages. It is tentitively scheduled for February 14th (Valentines Day) 2010. We will be staying at GKTW. I hope to begin our pretrip thread soon. I have no idea how to get to this thread as I just clicked on someonelses link. If somone can direct me as to what headings this is under I would greatfully appreciate it.
