We got to sit in VIP seating at the night time parade at MK....we just asked a CM where would be a good spot for Caleb to be able to see the parade! People start lining up VERY early!!

All of the kids in your party will get a shirt....they say Panama Jack on the front and GKTW on the back!
You can order the regular GKTW shirts while you are there....you order online in the House off Hearts and they will deliver the next day to your villa!

WOW! That was easy enough! Thank you!
Good to know about the parade and t-shirts! Thanks!

Has anyone bought the "photobook" that you can get when you get the photopass? Wondering if it is worth $50???
Also, I want to buy the photopass, but want to make sure I do it right...
I just purchase the cd online and they send me a code to use AFTER our trip, right?? Then when we arrive at the park, I get the photopass card from the first photographer who takes our picture? Then use the same card throughout the trip. When I get home, I put in the card number with the code they gave me and they send me the disc. Do I have it right???
I am notorious for taking my camera and never taking pictures, so I definitely will depend on this for some great shots. I think it started on our first trip to Disney World when my daughter was 2. I videotaped most of the trip, but when we got home I realized I missed most of the vacation because I was always looking through the viewfinder!

How do you highlight a previous post in yellow? I can't figure that out.
Another question for you? We are trying to decide on shoes. I told my girls definitely no cheapie flip-flops with no support! Are backless shoes (clogs) okay or are they a pain when it comes to roller coasters. Do you have to take them off and hold them during the ride? We all have tennis shoes, but I hate wearing wet shoes and I know some rides do get you wet...
Thanks! Only 4 weeks left...I know the questions will start to flow!

We found a shoe that is great for water. They are called KEEN. They are a backed, strapped sandal that has a rubber closed toe-great for kiddos that don't always know to protect or feel their toes. They great and are made for water. They even can be washed and dry pretty quick. We have had them for the last several years. Our OT loves them. They are a little pricey, but at least here are about the same price as Crocs.

I hope that everyone is having a great Memorial day weekend and Memorial day. Try not to eat to much BBQ or get to sunburned (oops, already failed there:rotfl2:).

Also, if you look at my siggy you will see that I changed Liam's age from 6 to 7 because today is my little boys birthday.:bday:

Happy Birthday to LIAM!:bday:

There was some discussion a few weeks ago about shoes and I think for the most part people found that crocks were the most accomodating and comfortable. You would probably want to use the strap for your kids especially. I know I am kinda clumsy and the strap seems to help with that. Don't buy the generic or "fake" crocks though. They aren't supportive and the plastic is harder. Also the crocks will shrink if left outside in the sun without being on your feet. (found that out the hard way). If you are walking on wet cement they can become slippery like a flip flop also. Overall they are my favorite shoes for any type of park.

Thanks! My husband and I have Keens and we love them. I bought Sam a pair of Keen and Crocs, so he should be set :) The problem is with my three daughters. They are all under the impression that fashion is more important than comfort :confused3 I would let them learn the hard way, but I don't want their aching feet to slow me down! :rotfl2: They will all wear tennis shoes, so maybe I will have them wear those and bring their flip flops for the rides we might get soaked on.

That is funny. If they are set on tennis shoes I would absolutely take something along for them if they should change their minds.
My dh doesn't like crocs and will only wear tennies as well. So I know what you mean (I just have a big kid ;)). I haven't seen the Keens anywhere but will have to investigate this as we leave in a little over 3 wks.

Keens can be found at REI or online-just google Keen. They come in many colors and styles.

You can also get them at Zappos.com. They are SUPER fast! We ordered a pair one day and got them the next...free shipping and returns, too! I love Zappos!

We are having so much fun with the big give packages...check out the pre-trip report for pics!!!

Me I am looking for shoes...I tried on crocs and really didn't like them...I don't want tennis shoes as I hate having my feet sweat in them....So I need to find sandles..the kind I had last year just don't feel the same..so I am trying to find some that aren't going to cost an arm and a leg...wish me luck!

We have received more Big Give packages. Thanks to everyone. I have added pictures of the Big Give items on our Pre-Trippe. My kids have received some great things and love them all.:dance3::yay::woohoo:

Hi I had called my dd's wish granter over the weekend to find out when the flights are and also when her princess lunch is for. She hasn't called back. Is it rude to keep trying. I don't want to be a pest but would like to know something. We leave in exactly 3 weeks. I would really like to have some kinda plan. Anyone have any suggestions? We really haven't had much luck with this Dream granter being friendly in the past. It is almost like we are a pain or burden to her????? Just the feeling my DH and I both got from our meeting. Again I don't want to sound ungrateful or disrespectful just don't know what to do.

I was also wondering how to change or delete the ticker on my signature. It is the wrong dates (they were changed after I put it on there.) Any help is appreciated.

I can see why you're anxious to know something. (ANYTHING!)

On the other hand, If you called over this past weekend (a holiday), I could see a couple possible reasons why she didn't call you back - lots of people take vacation on a short holiday week, for one thing. The second thing is - it's possible wish granters are volunteers who have other jobs. The day after a holiday weekend is always crazy in any workplace. I think we don't know what's going on in other people's lives - it could be anything. . .

Could you possibly wait until tomorrow, and then, if you haven't heard, call the wish granting organization to gently inquire what the usual procedure is, without throwing your wish granter "under the bus"?

Good luck! Hope you find something out soon!

I think you can delete your ticker by going to UserCP in the upper left corner of your screen and edit your signiture. Just delete the line that it's on. Unfortunately, i'm not familiar with how to set those fancy tickers, so I can't tell you how to alter it.

The photo books are nice, easy to make, and if you don't have time to scrapbook or otherwise fiddle with your photos, they're an easy way to get them into an album.

You DO have the process right - except, you can have as many photopasses as you like and enter them all in the same account - so if you get one and forget it in the room, you can get another one.

The caveats are - don't go to the camera center and look at your photos in the park - wait til you upload them to your account. And 2 - make sure ALL the photo passes are on your account before ordering your cd.

Big hint - when you get a photopass card, take a picture of the back with your own camera so that you'll have the numbers! Should you lose your card, you can still get your photos with the number!

Great tips! I will definitely take a picture of the number--awesome idea!
Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I have decided to wait. Just some background on our wish granter. She hasn't been the friendliest or most helpful (told my dd she only wanted a hug in return and then left w/o hardly saying goodby, dd was wondering why she didn't want her hug.) She is retired and her and her husband volunteer to do this. I offered to drive to meet her (she lives over an hour away) she said no but then put it to us like it was a long trip for her to see us.

With that being said it was a holiday weekend with lots of graduations and such. So I will wait patiently. I am just hoping we make it in time to do the christmas at GKTW. Just incase I haven't told the kids anything about it (learned my leason the hard way lol.)

Thanks for the advice.

Thank you so much! I was able to change the ticker. I know I have said this before but I am really really computer changelled.:) Thanks so much for the tip.
