Make a Payment is Back!

I just logged into My Disney Experience and noticed that make a payment is back and total owing is showing again! Thank goodness! What a pain that was having to call all the time. Just thought I'd pass it along!

I was able to... once... in like, a 3 week window where it was available. (This was about 2 years ago just after the start of the whole MDE website)

I just saw that it was back. I am so glad it is back. Just in time to pay off my vacation that is due in 4 days!!! It is so much easier to pay online than calling.

I had a room only (with DDP added). I've been able to make 3 payments on it since September. Now this week? No payment option. Thanks Disney IT!

Is this safe to do? I'm still pretty new to all this Disney stuff. I currently have a room-only reservation and I was under the impression I could simply make payments as I pleased. I guess I was wrong. I do see however if I go and change my reservation, go to change my room type and select the same one I already have it let's me check out again and I'm able to pay another deposit thus lowering my overall balance. Is there any risk in continuing to do something like this?

I'd been making payments using this method since the make a payment option vanished. I usually just change view type and check out, making two different payments so I can have my garden view back. I don't see how this could go wrong unless you're staying at a very sought out resort during peak times and someone comes along and snag your room while you're making those changes.

Definitely use 'make a payment' now that is back, there's no reason not to.
