Undercover Tourist and easyWDW have totally different opinions of MK on Sunday, April 19. UT says green day and the other says red. I'd like to go on the 19th, but our other option is Friday, April 24 (both say a good green day). Anyone have an opinion on 4/19. We are staying off site.

Heh heh ... this one is tricky. This is not my advice I am giving you, so much as much understanding of how to interpret crowd calendars, because they don't actually all interpret the same thing.

  • On the 19th, UT has green which = 1-3 level crowds. This seems a bit light to me, truly BUT one tried and true rule that many (including myself) have good experience with is to go to the park that had EMH yesterday, especially evening EMH. I suspect this is the logic behind the UT rating -- it's not 100%, but if you look you will see this pattern a bit.

  • On TouringPlans, MK is a 5 on both days. Unlike the other two calendars, which as I understand are based more on crowds as in number of people, TP calendars are based on average wait times. Most times this works; there are occasions like Flower & Garden or Food & Wine where there might be more people in the park than would generally be suggested by the wait times.

  • On easyWDW, I think Josh always doesn't recommend MK on Sunday; comments are generally on the line that extended hours b/c of weekend or extra shows b/c of weekend draw crowds, and many who have arrived on Sat. for the week start out at MK on Sunday. I am not saying whether or not he's right, but I'm pretty sure I see that a lot on MK Sundays. BUT, the other two calendars are rated on an absolute scale, Josh's recommendation is a relative scale (between all four parks). So you need to take his recommendation in the context of his overall crowd level for the 19th, which is only a 5 ... I'd rather be in Josh's least recommended park on an overall crowd 5 day than his most recommended one on an overall crowd 10 day.

So actually -- I think all the calendars say about the same thing, and they all say that the crowds are predicted to be relatively moderate over the whole property. IMO? What I would do personally is have a decent plan, not get there at 1PM and expect there to be no lines for anything, go whichever day I want to go and have a great time. I'm not willing to give you that as advice for what I think you should do though, because I'm not remotely an expert.
