Anyone have luck with getting into Makahiki for dinner as a walk-up? We're two adults and probably would want to eat normal dinner time - 6-7pm or so. I don't want to make an ADR because we're playing it by ear, not sure when we will go. Is a reservation a must here?

Once you are on property, swing by and ask them about availability. I was interested in getting a breakfast ADR but there were no times available online. I ended up going to Makahiki's check in desk and they were able to fit us in the morning I was looking for.

Unlike the parks, you aren't charged if you don't show up for a reservation, so it's better to have one than not. We were able to get them the week of, but still waited for 30+ minutes.

During busy season we had a 15 min walk up wait for 2 for dinner at 7pm. This was a weeknight in late June. Fitting in 2 is relatively easier for them.

If that falls through the happy hour was wonderful at Oleo room next door!! We loved our nachos and sliders. And had an amazing server too!image.jpg
