Well, I have been on major pins and needles all day, because DD11 has the school play today, and this is the first time she has had a speaking part (well, except for kindergarten, when each student had to memorize a four line poem and say it in front of the parents.) She is The Sheep (capital T, capital S) in Charlotte's Web, and they gave a performance at 1:30pm for the student body - the parents go tonight. Older DD, who has a day off today (teacher conferences) and a friend went to the afternoon performance, and they just called to say DD had been a real hit!!!! Apparently, the sheep is a little comic relief, and DD is very small and has a little bit of a squeaky voice, so the role has fit her very well.

Thank God - I can't tell you how many anxiety dreams I have had this week!!!!! I am NOT GOOD at handling things like this - I think because I had such stage fright as a child, it makes me very nervous. I fake well in front of the children, though!!!!!

So now I can look forward to the play tonight!!!!!

And to think you knew her before she was famous!! :teeth:

You can introduce yourself to everyone in the auditorium as The Sheep's Mom! :)

Tell The Sheep I said to break a leg in tonight's performance! :goodvibes

Thank you so much - you have no idea what a nervous wreck I've been!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

BTW, I love your "Hokey Pokey" line - my older daughter loves that so much I'm needlepointing it on a pillow for her to take to college next year!!!

That's great that she did such a wonderful job! Tell her to break a leg tonight. (I was going to say good luck, but then thought I might get yelled at on here from some people)
