It was my Dad's 60th birthday last week and we wanted a Mickey Head Cake at CRT.
I called the cake hotline everyday for two weeks and did not get a live person once.
I left several messages, including the date, time, reservation number, the cake we wanted, and what we wanted it to say. I even left a message stating that my calls had never been returned.
I had serious doubts about getting the cake so I ordered a cake for the night before at Chef Mickey's. The Contemporary line was answered on the first call and my cake was delivered at dinner with no problems. (edible image Grumpy)
When I got to CRT I inquired about my cake and guess what, surprise surprise, no cake.
I expressed my displeasure and the manager was basically unapologetic and offered the Sara Lee cake (that I had to pay for of course). I declined. Thank goodness I had the forsight to get a cake at Chef Mickey's the night before.
Rant over.
