MAJOR PRICING CHANGE on PHOTOPASS PRICING WITH WDW and DLR Trips

Just received this email from PP after questioning the pricing on my recent WDW trip (ended Oct. 17th) and my last trip to DLR (Oct. 27th). You used to pay the price of the park you were last in, but that is no longer!

Here's the email

Thank you for your interest in Disney?s PhotoCD products.

Our policy has changed from previous years. The computer automatically
reads where the pictures were taken and sets the price accordingly. Any
photos taken at Walt Disney World will have the $149.95 because of the
additional parks and photographers available.

The Walt Disney World PhotoCD is $149.95 and includes all valid
PhotoPass photos from your Disney's PhotoPass card(s), including photos
with added Disney borders and graphics. You may receive your PhotoCD
shipped via compact disc (s) or as a download from the webiste. A
copyright release will also be included with your Disney's PhotoCD. This
copyright release will allow you to take the PhotoCD to the developer of
your choice to have the photos printed.

Each PhotoCD will contain only the designated photos. The Disney
PhotoCD does not include any unclaimed or expired photos. Photo
processing is not included in any PhotoCD purchase price.

We always get more pix taken at DLR than at WDW so we won't be getting PP pix taken at WDW anymore. I didn't know about the change in time to pre-order for $99.95 so I am stuck paying $149.95. And I don't know if I can use my DLR Photo Gallery CD ($59.95 plus free shipping ) on it. The bummer is that they no longer take PP at the waterparks between Labor and Memorial days and there weren't that many PP photogs at WDW unless you were at character Meet 'n Greets.

Have you tried to use your DLR Photo Gallery voucher and see if it will work for both WDW and DLR pics? Maybe it will since you were last at DLR.

We will be in DL over Christmas break. I am familiar with the whole PP and having pictures taken, but I am confused about the whole Photo Gallery CD. What exactly is it? Where would you buy it? Does it come with the PP CD as well? Is this something you have to purchase in at the park or can you purchase it once you return home? TIA!!

I haven't tried to use the coupon yet since I'm not ready to order but I emailed PP with the question of whether or not I'll be able to use the coupon. I'll report back what they tell me.

The Photo Gallery CD is sold in DL and DCA (in DL at Photopass store, at DCA the location changes). It is the same CD they sell online for $39.95 but it sells for $59.95 at DLR. However, only the CD you buy in the park contains the coupon for a free online CD. The online one does not.

The Photo Gallery CD is a CD produced by Disney of over 300 professional chots taken around the parks and hotel. They have come great shots, especially at night.
