Major Pixie Dust At Target!

I've been buying gift cards from Target for our next trip. Just before Easter I picked up a gift card and a child's watch for my son. Stupidly I threw the bag away! I went into Target yesterday thinking that they might be able to pull up my transaction with my RedCard. I was hoping the with the receipt and activation number on the receipt I could report it missing. A manager went into a back room and did a computer search for several minutes. After awhile he came out and said that he couldn't find the transaction, and couldn't do anything about my son's watch, but he could "coupon out" a new gift card for me. I was floored by the kindness!

Most stores wouldn't because there are too many bad people in this world that try to pull one over on businesses. So stores end up putting policies in place to protect themselves which end up hurting the honest consumer.

Not that it mattered he was very kind to give you the gift card.

Believe me, I know I was dealing with an extremely nice manager!! I'm not sure why he couldn't find the transaction. I knew the date and even the approximate time of my purchase.

I lost a GC last year (it fell out of my wallet before I even made it home) and Target was able to use the information on my receipt to back the money off the lost card, thus voiding it, and reissue me a new GC. Easy peasy transaction. I was beyond happy.
