Major issues with Snow White Coaster!

Holy crap -- this would be horrible. But how reliable is the poster on this thread? And as another poster wrote there, what makes this so revolutionary that it can't be built?

I'm having a hard time seeing what the big problem could be.

I agree, from what we have heard so far, it sounds like a typical small coaster, nothing groundbreaking. It makes no sense that they would scrap it now.

It's the way that the car will swivel that had never been done but if that's the case just make it a regular coaster!

I thought when this was announced someone on the boards here mentioned a coaster elsewhere that swivels.

IF this is true it is much bigger than just the FLE. It goes right to the heart of what Disney Imagineering is all about.

I don't like using the Walt card, however if he were around I would guess the conversation would go a little something like this.

Imagineer "Walt, I am not sure we can get this working how we want"
Walt "Then I need someone who can, your fired"

But Disney claims nonother coaster swivels like this.

Lots of companies claim to have the first this, biggest that, loudest other thing... doesn't make it so -- or, more often, it's true only on a technicality.

I'm not saying this coaster isn't the first of its kind, for whatever that's worth, but I do recall someone describing a ride on a similar coaster with some kind of tilty action on it.

I love how the "artists conception" images of the attraction at the link are the classic Imagineer fantasy world vision, with no milling crowds or lines and only a few happy, smiling people approaching it.

Here is the reality when these things are actually up and running:

Agreed IMO there are no more great or even good Imagineers they are average at best!

Perfect. :)

I wish Bruce Vaughn or Bob Iger was reading this thread.

Hey! The imagineers created the....um.....headless dragon for Fantasmic in DL and of course there is Betty the Yeti.

Ok, ok.....you're right after all.

And Dinoland.

And that Stitch ride (I've heard rumors that one exists).

As for the rumor about the ride problems - "Where's the beef?" Proof or no dice.

The track record isn't great in recent years... but I'm not going to rush to judgment on this one based on a single rumor report from another site on a project that hasn't even broken ground yet.

I think we all just need to sit back and wait for Disney to either tell us up front, or wait until 2012 and find out at the opening of FLE.

Yup I'd say 2014 if we are lucky!

that's why I'm not optomistic. Think of all the other ideas that were supposed to be built at a later date (Asian, Persian, Venetian resorts, Beastly Kingdom) and see how they turned out

I agree I'm not optimistic for the ride. However, What are they going to do with the space? It's TDO so they won't let space go to waste!

What cheap thing do you think TDO will put in the space if they don't do the ride?
