I just spoke with vacation planning to order a cake for my son's bday. We are staying at pph. After looking at all the interesting cakes on the cake thread- i found out:sad2:
1. they cannot do Jack skellington theme:confused:
2. they no longer offer chocolate figurines:headache:
3. It will only be what I ordered -nothing more- even asking to make sure it had sprinkles seemed like an awesome request.:worship:

I hope the bakers have more creativity and enthusiasm than the person who took my order (and the wind out of my sails) :wizard:

and before someone flames me- I was nothing but lovely and gracious to the woman:flower3: even though she sucked the joy right out of my night!
Anyone else had a similar experience recently?:scared:

That's too bad. I've never used this so I have no experience with it. I suppose you could plop your own Jack Skellington figure on the top. :confused3 Hopefully your cake will come out nice. :) Maybe you can have better luck talking with them once on site.

So sorry! It is a bummer when you're so excited about your trip and every little detail and they don't see it the same way.

Hope your cake is cute! :flower3:

Maybe call and speak to a different CM and see if they tell you something different?

I'm so sorry. I wonder if you talked to the same CM I did when I ordered my cakes. I am used to having the Disney Dining CMs be really friendly and helpful, but this one was not helpful at all and seemed like she was having a bad day. I got really frustrated, and had no idea how the cakes would turn out.

I was pleasantly surprised when we actually got the cakes, though. They were really cute and tasty, and the kids were thrilled. I brought my own Tinker Bell fairy figures to put on the cake since she told me they didn't have any Tinker Bell decorations, and they just decorated the cake with flowers.

I would also suggest getting your own Jack Skellington figure to put on the cake, and then just asking them to do something simple. Maybe he would look cool on a cake with chocolate ganache frosting with some orange frosting accents? Maybe you can ask if they would pipe some little pumpkins down one side (or maybe that would be too much to ask). I hope your cake turns out the way you want it to!

First - I don't think people flame on this board & Second - What about buying your own fun stuff?

I bought the decorations for a Mickey cake at the grocery bakery for my DD's 2nd b-day (this was at home) & baked my own cake...then placed the stuff on there. If you hunt online or ebay you might find some worthwhile stuff to bring w/ you & then give it to the server (or whomever)...

Just an idea. :thumbsup2
