Major announcement for Disney Theme Parks June 7th?

It sounds really exciting- I cannot wait to hear what is announced!!! princess:

Maybe they are building a new Disney Cruise Ship? :confused3 Or, combining all of the Parks for a Major Epcot Anniversary theme? :confused3

No really big. Like princesses-at-the-ball and pirates-on-the-high-seas big.

Sounds like an "official" announcement of the Pirates and Princesses hard ticket event.

In 2008 Animal Kingdom will be 10 yrs old. Maybe they will be doing a huge celebration for it starting in 2007 or 2008 and have it be the usual 18 months. Or perhaps maybe something even bigger like monorail access from all hotels. This is supposed to be in the works and supposed to be done in the future. Probably several yrs from now. I know that Epcot is supposed to be expanding and adding more countries, maybe thats it? Theres also rumors going around about a villian park. Who knows what it will be. I wish it would be televised so everyone can see it.

Ooo now that I read it more carefully the 2nd time around, maybe its a new park that will feature some rides from each park like DL and all the international disney parks. Or maybe they are bringing back 2D Animation in Orlando! YEAHH!! LOL!

I was thinking the same thing.

Still hoping it will turn out to be something more exciting, though. :wizard:

Yup ... I'm putting my money on this as well. :teeth:

Please add me to the Princesses and Pirates hard ticket event club. I bet that's what it is. When is it supposed to begin and end anyway? I would love to go during our '07 trip!!!

Shot in the dark ... but maybe a DisneyQuest type facility for NYC. I know Philly was supposed to get one a number of years ago. They even had a few blocks of the city ready for construction. The plan eventually fell through though (some sort of city or contracting issues?)

I really doubt that's true. Chicago had one a few years ago and it closed due to a lack of business.

Oh boy Oh boy! What could it be?!?!? I live about an hour from NYC and if it has anything to do with something Disney coming to this area, I will just faint! :faint:

Its all just to tell me happy birthday tomorrow :)

I have no idea what it really is, cant wait to find out!

On one website there was a lot of speculation yesterday about it being the Priates and Princesses events and also the role out of a new campaign possible entitled Where Dreams Come True (something Disney just recently trademarked). Also Touring Plans had a small blurb on it yesterday.

Tickets for Mary Poppins on Broadway going on sale

Where's more info on the Princesses and Pirates hard ticketed event? Somehow I missed that... :confused3

Oh yeah the Happiest Celebration thing is ending this year so this is going to be some kind of follow up year long promo disney style- but the dream bigger thing has me wondering....
(I love the blurb on that website- a year of a million dreams- guys this doesn't mean Ariel is up for grabs.....) I don't think though it would as random as what they are suggesting. I don't know if that would warrant a huge announcement. It is the Parks guy doing it. Hmmm I love a surprise! (NOT!!)

This is from another website
There are plans underway to introduce a new "Pirates and Princesses" hard ticket event at the Magic Kingdom. Based on a similar concept to "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" and "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party", the new event would take place after regular parks hours, and would require a separate ticket for entry. As part of the evening events would be a Pirates and Princesses parade. Whilst this concept is strongly tipped to come to reality around January 2007, please remember that this information is not officially confirmed, and as always is subject to change.

I think this is most likely the angle that they will take. In additon I think they will try to tie in a WDW, Cruise, and foriegn Disney destination all in one with special pricing and like someone else said air travel. It would be great to get a chance to experience other Disney parks around the world and to be able to get special deals to do it. JMO
