Majic Express???? Some info please**

MY DH is flying into MCO on Friday September 1, 2006 around 3:08pm. The kids and I will already be at the POP.


I will be driving the family to WDW so he will not have any luggage/and no carry ons to worry about. How long does it take from the time that you get off of the plane and down to the desk to check in before you could reasonably expect to check arrive at POP-

remember that this is a Friday and holiday weekend????

He wants me to drive to the airport and pick him up but I'd rather sit by the pool and wait for him - then the kids can swim and play. If I do have to drive to MCO to pick him up, how long does it take to get to the airport and are the roads very hard to navigate?

The stickies at the top of the page give you a lot of info about ME, and they do include the travel time.
As to your driving, figure on 30 mins to get to the airport and 30 back.

Apparently I posted in the wrong forum because I did not see the info sticky at the top- I did look. I'm now in the right forum and do see the sticky.

POP is generally the first stop. DH might have to wait a few minutes for a bus but you'll be ready immediately. DME drivers tend to follow the speed limit, most drivers speed.

DME should get him to POP about an hour after landing vs about 40 minutes (10 minutes after landing to get to your car and a 30 minute drive) if you get him.

I don't think it's worth the time, gas, tolls and parking just to save DH a maxmimum of 20 minutes but I'd probably take the drive to pick up my wife.

I would say it's 50-50. If you don't mind the hassle of driving and parking at MCO, then go for it. But, I would have him take DME. Just be sure you call them to book it..you can no longer just walk up to the desk and expect a ride. You have to call ahead of time. As long as he is listed on your reservation, he should be go to go.
