Maintenance $ for this year

I must admit, I don't really pay attention to when the annual meeting is, etc. but I'm doing a budget to get us through end of 2001 and am wondering when DVC announces how much per point maintenance dues will be this year...I own at OKW, by the way. Just wondering if anyone knows?

I don't know the date for this year, it is usually around the 1st week of December. Dues this year were $3.1272/point, down from $3.1623/point in 2000. I wouldn't expect much change this year either.

At last year's OKW annual meeting we were told that the annual meeting is scheduled for the Thursday ater Thanksgiving. This year's OKW meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 29. I think we should be getting information soon about the meeting.

I just got the Vero Beach 2002 estimated budget in the mail, so I expect the other resorts will be o ut soon as well.

Assuming I'm reading this correctly, VB will be $3.4339/point

Just got my notice -- on page 7 it gives the actual dues for Vero.

Those who purchased prior to 1/1/96 will continue to get some subsidy (although less than in the past). This is good news since they could pull it altogether at this point. Dues for 2002 will be $3.3308 per point. (This is a 23% increase over the more heavily subsidized dues last year.)

Those who purchased after 1/1/96 will be paying $4.1685. This is about a 4% increase.

I'm trying to look over the budget but they've changed the basis of homes. I'll post more detail later.

I've given up trying to figure out what the line by line increase percentage was. It's too difficult to compare the 266 Vacation Home budget to the previous 400+ Vacation Home Budget.

On an overall basis the increases breakout like this.

Operating Budget up 5%
Capital Budget up 1%
Taxes up 4%

Overall 5% increase

Pre-1996
Operating Budget up 35%
Capital down 1%
Taxes up 4%

Overall 23% increase.

Does anyone know when the BWV meeting might be? We will be there from 11/23 to 12/2 and would like to attend it.

Here is the meeting schedule from the summer Vacation Magic:

Vero - Nov 27 - 2:00pm
OKW - Nov 29 - 9:00am
HH - Dec 3 - 9:00am
BWV - Dec 6 - 9:00am
VWL - Dec 6 - 2:30pm

I think the OKW meeting was at BW convention center last year. I don't think you have to own at the resort the meeting is for, just be a DVC member. You may want to go to that one, they usually discuss some general stuff, like last year they talked about Beach Club Villas and had some artist's drawings. They may talk about the presales. Last year the BWV meeting was limited to one hour.
