I am thinking of buying into the DVC and I am looking into the resale website. Any tips for someone who is not sure where to start? Also, what are the maintence fees for each resort? Are they different? Do they change from year to year? Does everyone pay the same amount at each resort? How do you figure out how many points you need? So many questions...Sorry

How do you figure out how many points you need? So many questions...Sorry

Try the point calculator also linked at the top of the boards. Plug in the vacation dates, resort and room size you think you would need annually. Points can be banked forward one year and borrowed from the next use year if necessary. So if you don't plan on annual trips, you can always buy 1/2 or 1/3 of the points you need, and move them around accordingly.

Don't be afraid to ask more questions...

wow...as a newbie buyer (waiting for the dread ROFR) this is interesting stuff.
At first, I was po'd that BWV were so HIGH in relation to others, but it appears from the tables that it's actual increases the last 5 years have been less than many others...so maybe the others will play 'catch' up.
