Maint. Fees

Can someone tell me how much maint. fees usually go up each year? I am getting ready to close on our first set of points.

How much they go up is dependent upon what increases DVC has during the year. (Each resort is also different). For the last two years, dues have gone up over 5% per year due primarily to a drop in the interest being earned on invested money and an increase in employee expenses (especially health insurance). Prior to that, dues stayed pretty much stable for about 5 years -- fluctuating up and down about 1%. As to the future? It's hard to tell. I would not expect to see an increase greater than 10% per year and I would hope we will be entering back into a time of fairly stable dues. The dues cannot increase more than 15% in one year. 5% is probably a good number to use for planning purposes.
