Main Street Vehicles in December

Do the Main Street vehicles typically not run at all the first week of December? My sister was there the first week of December last year and she was told that the vehicles don't run during that week due to the Candlelight Ceremony set up. Just wondering what to expect that week this year.

Further to this, do they run in the evenings? I thought that (unlike WDW) they ran all day, but I saw a vlogger say that they only run in the mornings. During the day I use a Mobility scooter , so can't really ride on the vehicles, but when I return to the park for the evening, I manage without the scooter (I'm terrified I will run someone over in the dark!!) and we planned on riding one of the vehicles. Weirdly we want to ride the double decker bus, even though we are from the UK and can ride these any time at home

The Candlelight Processional set up does not block the street. Some vehicles may pick up/drop off in a slightly different location, but I believe they all still run. The vehicles don't run during parades, cavalcades, and when the Disneyland Band is marching down Main Street. Some vehicles are used to transport VIPS during special events and during cavalcades. For example, right now, the double decker bus, yellow horseless carriage, and fire engine are used for the Halloween cavalcade.

@Hobbes, no, they do not run in the evening. You can find the timing on the app if you search for "Main Street Vehicles." Today, they are running from 8 am to 3 pm. Of course, tonight there are two evening parades and fireworks which make it impossible to drive a vehicle on Main Street.

Thanks for clearing that up. I though I remembered seeing them in the evenings last time we came, but there was no evening parade whilst we there and Fantasmic wasn't showing either. If we want to do one, I'd better park the doom buggy (aka Scooter) and ride whilst we can. Last time we missed out on the Little Red Trolley...

I have actually ridden them in the evening quite a bit. I am a stay until closing person and I often see them out at night. When I was there the first week of Dec 2022 I rode up and down Main Street at 11pm. I know the vehicles were out during the day that trip as well. When my sister said she was told they were not out during the day the same week last year, I got worried and wondered if they changed things. Main Street vehicles are in my Top 5 rides now. They would have been at the very bottom of my list when I was all about Space Mountain as a teenager! And I hear you on the double decker bus! I was the only passenger front and center up top a few years ago. Lots of people waving and laughing as I passed by.
