Main Street USA WiFi question.

So I was walking on main street about half way down with my ipod touch looking for an internet connection. Suddenly something came up i was SO happy b/c I have a ride time app. It was called like ----TCDW. WHen i tried to access internet, it asked me for a password and said to obtain a password, ask a CM. SO we did and he had no clue. has anyone else had this problem?

It is TWDC WLAN, or The Walt Disney Company Wireless Local Area Network. It is for Cast Member use only and most CM's onstage don't know the password. This network is all over WDW property.

I would bet that means company visitors, not park guests.

Thoes would be company visitors on official business with Disney. Not for guests to use in the park. The only WiFi I know of that was once set up for guests was in the Odyssey pavillion in Epcot. There was no password for that, just open WiFi.

People who go to visit the parks are always called "guests." If it were meant for you, it would have said "GUESTS: Please ask a Cast Member..."

It may mean people there visiting on business, even Disney employees from other parts of the world or even from, say, Epcot.

there is no free wifi on disney property that I know of, I went to all the places where the internet says there are free wifi and they are all password protected like that.
