Yes - many years ago they replaced the Main Street Electrical Parade with Spectromagic -- not as good as my favorite -- but still I beautiful Parade...
You can only see the Main Street Electrical Parade in Disney's California Adventure...
From what I have heard that is about the only interesting thing you can see there.
Absolutly -- We have the farewell video they sold at DL in its last year -- My nieces and nephew love it -- and whenever they watch it -- I cry - it's definitly a great memory for me!
I say they should bring it back on special occasions!
We were at the MK the last day it was in WDW and got to see the last parade. I video taped it and the kids watch the video every once in a while of it.
Actually, I have gotten choked up watching it with my girls. My oldest (4 here in 2 weeks) would get so excited watching the video then tell me on the way home that she wants to go to WDW to see THAT parade. Too bad she won't get to see it. She did love Spectromagic though.
My parents still have a 7" 33 rpm record (that was the predecessor to the CD for you young'uns ) with the music from MSEP. It is a very cool looking record that has a picture of the parade on both sides. Unfortunately it is now missing a chunk out of the side so it can't be played. I think I might have it on CD though, somewhere.
I got to see the MSEP (now called Disney Electrical Parade, since it no longer runs down Main Street) twice this past Spring at DCA. We watched it once from inside the park, and the second from the window of our room (PPH, 13th floor). The view was unbelievable and the music to the parade was on a special channel on the TV. It was really cool to see it this way
I can hardly believe Eliza will be 4 -- and Amanda is 6! crazy!
Go look at the Yeah for Clay thread -- on the community board -- I am a celebrity because of Raleigh
Too funny!
I still remember Melissa (for those of you who are not Todd, Adam or Beth Breakey - this is our sister) practicing to the record for a dance she did to the baroque Hodown -- No one can tell us we werent a cool family!
