For those who have used FP+ for the parade, did you find it useful? Would you use it again for the parade, or would you use it for a ride next time? Was the location good for little ones to see well?

I really hadn't considered using it for the parade, but noticed that Josh advices it as a selection and even ranks it as one of the top 3 in priority. Surprised by that! I really like the list mesaboy has compiled and agree with how he's categorized the various attractions. It was a very useful tool. I think there are so many spots to view the parade, but seeing Josh's take on the FP+ had me question it. Thanks!

Thanks for the links. They were helpful to read. I think it will boil down to a matter of preference. I'm leaning back toward not using the fp+ for the parade. I don't want to get stuck at a poor viewing spot for Wishes.

If you have little ones, the MSEP is one of your best uses of FP+. They will be able to sit front row, while you relax and enjoy the space, and lack of annoying people crowding in/blocking/ruining your parade watching experience. We loved combining this with the Wishes FP+, and had no problem navigating the crowd with 6 of us, and a stroller. You just have to walk with a purpose and move through.

It was so awesome to spread out in the grass (during Wishes), and is absolutely the best spot to have Tink fly over your head and for fireworks, as they are to the right of the castle, where the rose garden/Wishes seating is located. Again, lying down in the grass, with noone in front of you (everyone sits down), is perfection with little ones (just bring a blanket/towels if you like). We layed down on our ponchos.

We are rope droppers, so could enjoy low waits in the morning, relax at hotel in afternoon, then headed back to park in evening for a ride + MSEP + Wishes (using the FP+). Perfect day!

Its really up to you, If you want a cool seat we personally don't care for the BIG masses and shoving on Main Street. No less its hard even after the parade ends trying to move. What we do is sit at Pecko Bills area's out front. The parade goes all the way thru there to Splash Mountain. For example we just got home after being there this past week at prime time..We got to front of Pecko Bills at 9:45 and were able to walk up and sit up front for the 10 pm shows. Most that area you were able to find spots on the rope as most all pack Main Street. We had no problem in that section all week during parades at any time and didn't fight the crowds.

In our experience the FP+ for this was not pleasant and we won't be doing it again. Our experience was very different from what many people seem to have experienced, so take that for what it's worth.

We were there during low crowds. They started letting people into the area about 25 minutes before the start of the FP+ window (luckily we were there) and the area was very full. Few rows deep at least, having a FP+ that night in no way guaranteed 1st or even 2nd row seats. We saw people who arrived near the start of the actual window decide against using their FP because of how crowded it was in there already. I'm talking like 4 or 5 rows back in some spots for those people who didn't arrive early.

So in short, we found it didn't save much time and we could have found 1st row seats in Frontierland with less time spent waiting. Will use one of the precious 3 MK fast passes somewhere else next time.

Wishes just a little bit, Tink almost not at all.

Mesaboy where is the best place to catch msep then wishes? My 4 year old adores tink so it will be such a surprise for her to see tink. I'm not mentioning beforehand. Ideally we would grab one spot for all.

Below is a rough estimate of the Fireworks viewing spots
based on other posters' info on the boards and personal experience.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents,
or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.
(But, from there you won't be able to see the new "show" that is actually projected on the front of the Castle,
"Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)
