Don't get me wrong, I love Monsters. Silly me besides the parades and Celebrate the Magic it is one of my fav attractions.
But I don't need a FP for it.

Just called as well, cm took email address and phone number, said they would be back in place in about an hour. So we'll see.....

That's what they did for me too. They just added them back in as special ones and left my other 3 in place.

I can' t change it back myself. The option to modify it is gone and I have a good anytime fp, but only for those rides/attractions that don't need fp. The lady I am speaking with on the phone, flat out told me she can't/won't switch it back even though the parade operating schedule did not change (like the email states). She said I got a complementary fp to replace it and that is how their system works and there is nothing else to be done.

I asked to speak to someone else and have been on hold 15 minutes and counting.

Add me to the list! My MSEP got switched to laugh floor as well. I tried switching it back on MDE but can't. Just trying to decide whether or not I can be bother to call in...

This is increasingly plain to see.

- Guests can make FP+ reservations up to 60 days out instead of just doing them the day they get to each park
- Disney sometimes changes their park operating hours within that 60 day window
- Disney has no way of predicting if or when rides will go down within that 60 day window
- Disney sometimes cancels things without bothering to consult the FP+ booking calendar

What could go wrong?

This occurs a week before my upcoming trip, and isn't even something I'd book a FP+ for, but I'm seriously sorry for all those who spent lots of money and played by Disney's rules only to once again be treated this way by Disney in the end. It's not the first time, and unfortunately won't be the last.

It really is comical:
- Stay up 60 days prior to check-in until midnight.
- Be completely sleepy at work the next day.
- 1-2 weeks before trip, they change the operating hours/attractions / messes up the FP+.
- They automatically update the coveted FP+ with an attraction you don't even need a FP+ for.

Call the # at the bottom of the Email. You will be connected directly with the right department and they are aware of the problem.

I just called and the rep knew exactly what I was talking about. She said "that wasn't supposed to happen". it took almost 20 minutes, but she changed the Fast Pass to a "Select One Experience". She said we can use it for whatever we want, so we can do either parade now. That's awesome since I wanted the earlier parade anyway! So I say CALL!

My MSEP FP+ for 10/07 was cancelled and replaced by monsters as well. I simply went back in on my Disney experience and was able to get my original FP+ back

I got the same notification for 10/27 saying FOF was switched to meet Mickey. I went online and switched it back.

Same here for MSEP on 10/11. Got Monsters instead.

Both my dad and my brother e-mailed me in a panic when they got the e-mail notice it had changed. I had arranged our whole day around being able to see the parade and wishes.

Was able to go back in and change it. Hopefully it will stay this time.

Our FP+ for Nov 6th got changed to monster inc too. Five of the six of us were given a time in the morning and the other person was given a time in the afternoon. We couldn't even all go to monsters inc at the same time. Rediculous! Fortunately I was able to go into mde and change the FP+ back to MSEP. Thanks for the tip!
