Main Street bypass

Can anyone give me specific details on the Main Street bypass in the MK? Specifically, where do you enter/exit from each end? Is it open all of the time? Does it save time and keep you away from the masses exiting after Wishes? We will be doing the Wishes Dessert Party at the Tomorrowland Terrace on a Sat night and I'm hoping this will be a good way to exit and miss at least some of the exiting crowd.

Not open all the time.
One end is next to Tony's Restaurant in Town Square and other end is between Plaza Restaurant and Tomorrowland Terrace.

When we were there the week before Christmas they had CMs with baton type handheld lights pointing toward the
Side exit that went out near Caseys and the first aid area which exited us on Main Street next to the barber. Not sure if that is there all the time; it was just before the 9:30ish pm parade. We were able to get out of the park quickly from Adventuereland. My wife and daughter missed the back exit and spent an extra 15 minutes getting through main street crowds.

That's the one seen below.
It is seldom used except when Main St. is severely packed.
(It has not been "guest themed" like the backstage route on the east side of Main St.)
