It must be several years since I've been in the Main Street bakery because even during the off season, this place always seems to have a line. What's been on the menu there lately. I've read great things about the cinnamon rolls and french toast loaf, but what else is good for a mid morning or afternoon snack?

Last time I was there I had a HUGE piece of chocolate layer cake that was to die for! It's never to early in the day for chocolate cake.

They also have fruit, muffins, a yogurt thingy, cookies and sandwiches. And yes, it is never too early for chocolate cake! Oh, and good coffee drinks as well.:thumbsup2

cookies, cake, cupcakes, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts (which is wonderful since we don't have one here anymore)...oh it's a great place! ;) They have all kinds of yummy goodies!

We really like just about everything from Main St Bakery. They're a great source for the Mickey Mouse Krispy Treats with the ears dipped in chocolate. One of the few places that has the 'fresh' ones!

Try one with anything from the bakery -- but the Apple Betty is my favorite. If I'm really hot the frozen coffee is enough by itself.

is the coffee good here? i have been so turned off by MK coffee that i have not had a cup in the park in years...any better now?

I'd like to know more about the coffee too!! We're going to be spending a lonnngg day at MK (Rope drop til the end of MVMCP) so I will definitely need some caffeine mid-afternoon!

The espresso was good. I think it has a line becasue there isn't a CS restaurant in the boardwalk. Plus it is really good!

On a hot day the frozen coffee drink can't be beat but it is sweet and very filling. The espresso is a good choice for a lighter coffee hit but I can't drink hot drinks when I'm already hot. So I get a double espresso over ice with water added. This makes it similar to the Iced Americano I get at Starbucks just about every afternoon. A cool drink but with a definite lift.

There is another place that will make that over-ice espresso for you. It's the walk up snack place near The Liberty Tree Tavern. (Can't remember the name of it but I'm sure someone can help us out.) And if you stop here, don't miss the ice cream sandwich they make with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and a big pile of ice cream between them. No way one person can eat it all. (Well, I'll bet someone will prove me wrong.)

Bah humbug they call it Main St. BAKERY for a reason. Don't rain on my parade, please...:lmao:

We really enjoyed our CS meal there: Basil Mozzerella sandwich, HUGE slice of carrot cake and a bottled drink. This was a shared meal for us and we still had some cake left to take back to the room. Our little guy was thrilled with his Uncrustable PB&J :confused3 milk and I actually think he picked either a banana or yogurt for dessert that was actually eaten the next AM.

Here are a few pictures for you.

We'll be back for seconds Thanksgiving week!

Those cinnamon rolls really are GIANT!! I remember not too far back people had heard they were no longer snacks on the DDP, I wonder if anyone ever found out if that was true or not.

Oh well I'm getting one either way!
