Main Street Bakery

Does anyone know if Main Street Bakery Closes right at the 8pm park closing, or if we would be able to pick up some cinnamon rolls on our way out of Magic Kingdom after Wishes?
We are going to the World for the first time in a few weeks and I have been trying to do some planning. I thought it might be nice to get some of those rolls for breakfast the next morning, but I did not want to tote them around the park. Because if we had to carry them around they would magically disappear I am sure.

I believe everything on Main Street remains open a half an hour after park closing time.

You might not find cinnamon rolls at that hour!

After the fireworks, my mom hit the bakery and said all that was left were some cakes. She got us a chocolate layer cake and a carrot cake to go.

She had a thing for coffee and cake on the balcony at the room each night

I would simply stop in and check on my way into the park that day. We ate there after Spectro and they were trying to close, but people just kept coming in and they served them.

As for them magically disappearing. I think the same will occur if you end up waiting in line for the bus for a while after exiting MK with your loot, so buy enough, just in case...lol

Finally, I strongly recommend the Carrot cake. We shared a piece and still took some back to the room; huge and delicious.

Yes, I forgot to mention that the cakes were both very good and HUGE. Enough to share.

At that hour, don't have your heart set on one particular item. It's basically "last call".

Thanks everyone for your replies. I guess I will just ask how late they'll be open when I walk in. Don't know why I didn't think of that. We honestly have such a sweet tooth, I'll probably be happy with whatever is there when we stop. I'll remember not to play up cinnamon rolls or such and just say we'll stop at the bakery for a treat. If it doesn't last till morning, there's always more food somewhere.

That's what happened to us the first time we went there. I just sent my mom in to get "something". Everything there is delicious! Even the frozen Lattes!

If one went in early when they arrived and got some cinnamon rolls could they have them shipped back to their resort to pick up later like you can with other purchases?

I don't know why on earth you'd want to do that - they couldn't be packaged properly to last all day - but I don't believe restaurants ship food to resorts.

You could, if you want, get a locker, buy some rolls, put them in the locker and then take them home with you - but you should probably bring some ziploc bags or something to keep the rolls in so they don't get hard or stale.
