Main Street Bakery - Now what?

We just discovered Main Street Bakery last year and were looking forward to cinnamon rolls for breakfast on our RD day at MK. I understand that it now being changed to a Starbucks - so what do you suggest? We will be there in June.

I thought I saw posted last week they have it tentatively scheduled to open around May 16. They officially said early summer, so take that as you wish. It will hopefully be open by June for you.

In the meantime, Gaston's Tavern has cinnamon rolls, although I'm not sure how they compare.

I too have heard that the MSB is set to open back up in May. It is not going to become a Starbucks location. We don't know exactly what treats they will have but it has been said that they will still serve MSB favorites (we just don't know which ones) as well as Starbucks drinks and pastries. Since you are going in June, it should be open by then as long as there are no delays.

Gaston's Tavern, as PP has said, serve cinnamon rolls. They have a maple glaze of sorts so they are slightly different than MSB but still supposedly very good.

The cinnamon rolls at Gaston's are a pale comparison of the cinnamon rolls at Main Street Bakery. They definitely didn't have the wonderful ooey, gooeyness of the ones at Main Street.

Main St Bakery will be opened again by then. It's not a Starbucks location. It will service Starbucks coffee and some Starbucks food and some Disney food. At the Disneyland location there is 2 Starbucks food shelves and 3 Disney food shelves.

We don't currently know what they will serve but it's possibly your favourites will be there still. You might also find some new ones.

I really don't see them getting rid of cinnamon buns. They were a top seller. I was under the impression that Gastons Tavern ones were the same though.

That is the day we arrive! We love the cinnamon rolls too and I think WDW knows there are a lot of fans....So hopefully they will serve them again.

I am kind of looking forward to getting a Starbucks frozen frap this summer.

I am pretty sad about this. I'm hoping that they don't do away with the MSB baked goods, their cinnamon buns were so good, and cookie sandwiches. I think there would be so many people who feel the same way about it. I know having good quality coffee is important, but this might just be too much, I guess we'll see what happens in May. I thought they would have picked some other location to put in a Starbucks. MSB is iconic.

Does anyone know why they took out McDonald's from Epcot and MK?

Now that they've "upgraded" the coffee........how about working on the fudge!! Disney fudge is the worst fudge we've ever had! Maybe we are spoiled by the fudge we get on the boardwalks every summer in Maryland, Delaware & Jersey, but Disney fudge could be soooo much better!! Anyone with us??
