On next month's trip, we will be bringing our boys to the night parade at MK for the first time. I'm sure they sell glow sticks of some sort at the park, but I would prefer to pay much less and bring my own. Anyone know where I can buy these either online or in a store? Do they sell them at Party City, Target or Wal-Mart? Just out of curiosity, how much are the ones they sell at MK? Thanks! :)

I've seen them at "Dollar Stores" (Dollar Tree, and other various names.)

Ebay offers them, too.

The Target dollar section has them sometimes. The Dollar Tree has them all of the time-we just bought a bunch for our trip-you can get 8 bracelets with connectors for a buck:thumbsup2

Yes try the dollar stores.
Can't remember for sure but glow "things" at MK were around the $10 - 12 mark I think.

Much cheaper to bring your own and give to the kids.

I haven't been on the lookout for them yet this year, but in the past I've had great luck finding them in the Target dollar section and at Michael's Craft Store. We've always gotten the tubes of bracelets, I think they have 12 or 15 bracelets per tube and they are usually $1 a tube. People have also mentioned finding them at their dollar stores.
I hope this helps, I'm hoping to catch the new/old Electric Parade this year too, have a great trip!

I got mine at the Dollar Tree. They had bracelets and necklaces. I've also seen them with all the Independence Day stuff at Wal-Mart. I got packs of red, white and blue bracelets last year for somewhere in the neighborhood of $5/ pack last year.

Every time I go to Disney I end up buying those flashing light up necklaces they sell. They're $5 each and well worth it, they have batteries in them that can be replaced as needed. I always feel like a Christmas tree wearing them. :)

I was smart in April, I kept the necklaces in my room after our trip and plan to use them again in November. This way the kids wont kill them before the next trip. LOL

Our Dollar Store also has glow wands and swords. they're awesome ! I picked up 2 to pack away. They also had glow sticks, bracelets, necklaces....

Walmart also had the glow sticks and bracelets but they were $3.00 / pack I think. Still cheaper than Disney though. They also have light up spinner toys in either Pink Princess or Cammo...those were only $ 3.00 also ......all are in the party section. :goodvibes

You can buy them in bulk from ebay or oriental trading. The ones from the dollar store are hit or miss, sometimes they work great and other times they don't work at all so buy a few packs so you have back ups.

The last time we were in the parks I bought light up necklaces for $5 and we just use those now. In the long run it was cheaper.

Glowsource.com

I prefer buying the LED items because you can use them over and over again where the glow items only last for one night. They sell light up ice cubes (my favorite!! you can get the ones that change colors too or just one solid color) and they sell light up hair accessories, drink accessories, jewelry, sunglasses, and even hats & beachballs! They also sell LOTS and LOTS of glow items. Some items are sold by the packs (of 25 or 50) but MANY of the items are sold individually. I buy my glow/light up stuff online at this place for all my Disney trips. And the light up stuff lasts for a long time. I have some light cubes that are 2 years old and still working. So the kids use them past the Disney vacation too.

If you really just want some glow bracelets/necklaces - Target has them right now in their $1 bins and Walmart sells them in their party section.

Walmart & Walgreens both have had lite up stuff in the party or seasonal aisles. Have bought the Michael's multi-packs of glow-stick bracelets (can be made into either bracelets or necklaces) Most were good, but some spilled the glow-stuff all over the kid's clothes. Messy!

If you really don't want the hassle of buying/packing ahead...or the possibility of spill/mess...well, we have also bought the lite-up necklaces at Magic Kingdom (off the cart) for $5...it was like Christmas-rope-lites, and could be set to blink or chase. Well worth the $5, and we did get multiple uses out of it before it finally died (actually, one still has battery power left in it from last September.) We were told when we bought it to bring it back if it started fading that night - they'd replace it.

Thanks so much...I think we will just buy the ones at MK. I didn't realize they were $5. Last year, we took the boys to see the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Madison Square Garden in NYC and they had these cool looking flashlight type things (but MUCH nicer than a flashlight)...they were $20 each! :scared1: I have no problem paying $5 for something for the parade, I thought it would be the same price as the ones at the circus!

Thank you everyone, we will just buy them at MK!
