Main Pool at Pop Century closed Feb. 14 to mid March for refurb.

I read this on the All Ears weekly newsletter...

... from Cherilyn Norris: I just received a letter from Disney's Pop Century Resort informing us that the main pool, the Hippy Dippy Pool Complex, will close for refurbishment on February 14 and reopen in mid-March.

I am at Pop Century from Feb. 13-27. I did not receive a letter about this. DH thinks they should give us an upgrade to a moderate for the inconvenience

Thank you very much for posting this. My DD8 and I are planning to introduce a 2 year old to WDW where we were considering POP as our resort of choice. One of our reasons was the showering flowers at the Hippy Dippy pool.

The Bowling Pin Pool and the Laptop Pool don't have the same WOW factor on a 2-year-old.

If you are considering a Moderate .... Magnolia Bend Pool at POR is also closed for work ....

I got the letter as well, but we will be there March 13-17 and hoping it will be open and otherwise we will be visiting the other pools.

We'll be staying at POP Feb 27-Mar 6... and I've requested a room in the 60s specifically because I love the themeing around the Hippy Dippy pool and I wanted my nephews to experience it. I heard a couple weeks ago about the pool being closed during our stay. I'm quite disappointed. We'll of course be able to walk over to the other pools, but they're not quite the same.

I haven't recieved a letter about it.

I just heard of it today. We'll be there for the start of our trip February 25th-28th. No letter for us
It is a bit disappointing. Will I get over it? Sure. But I will also be switiching resorts for the last week of my stay. For those of you staying for your entire trip I imagine it is more of an issue.
Nothing to be done about it I suppose.. but it would be nice if everyone got a letter .. not just a few

While it would be nice to receive an upgrade, I doubt very seriously that this will happen. All other pools will be open at the Pop.
