Main Gate pass and genie Plus

My friend who has worked at Disney World for over 20 years is getting us into Disney a couple of days in July with his Main Gate pass(Separate from the paper tickets they get a few times a year).My question is once we get in the park will we be able to add the passes to our my disney experence app and buy Genie Plus. A further question is is there anyway We or the Cast member can que us up for Tron Virtual Queues?

I don't believe you can link the Main Gate guest pass to your own MDE account -- the CM will have hard-plastic tickets for you to use for the day and will need to collect them back again.

There are some CMs who post around here so hopefully one will be able to answer about Genie+ and VQs.

Watching thread. My daughter is a CM and I'm checking with her, but as I recall on our last visit where she used Guest Passes for some of our party, she had to purchase Genie+ for the people using her Guest Passes.

The guest passes belong to the cast member and can't be transferred to your MDE account. The cast member can purchase genie + for everyone in the party, but those reservations will remain on the cast member's account. The rule is that the cast member is supposed to be with you throughout your park visit if using main gate passes, so if you're following that rule, then you can all just book the lightning lanes and tron previews together as you go.

Main Gate passes and Comp or paper tickets are 2 different things. I would first make sure which ticket you will be using. The Comp or paper ticket works like a regular one day ticket. The Main Gate is different all together.
