Mailing Project Linus Blankets

Has anyone mailed their blankets? What is the best way to send them?
What's the best box to use? Do you send them U.S. mail?

Depending on how many and the weight, you might be better off with a Priority Mail Flat Rate box. Then you can cram as many as will fit in it! Otherwise, just go to the post office site and see how much it costs to the zip code you are mailing to for that weight.

I mailed mine on Tuesday US Mail. I used a plain cardboard box, crammed them in, and taped it very well. I sent five blanket, it weighed seven pounds and some odd amount, and it cost about nine dollars to mail. It arrived the next day without any priority stuff at all (it would have been 27 bucks for next day delivery, so glad I didn't do that!)

I mailed mine last thursday (RI to CT) through the Post Office, parcel post.
7 blankets, just under 12lbs was $9.80.
I got my vouchers today!

I mailed them priority mail- I lined the box with a plastic sack in case of bad weather, stacked my blankets and the form/pictures we had to send with it and mailed it off. We had 8 blankets. They arrived 2 days later and got our vouchers about a week after that

I mailed two blankets (fleece) from Indy to GA and it was $8.XX I should have got one of the medium flat rate boxes and crammed them in. It's not like they will wrinkle or anything.
