we are doing a land/sea vacation in Oct, DS will be having a bday, we want him to be able to get something like a toy or game while in WDW, but don't want to lug in on board. So, I posted question on resort/park board about mailing. Got 2 options, directly from the store, shipping high, or go to a business center (located in several hotels) shipping much cheaper, plus can ship all things together. Has anyone ever done this? or know what a business center is? I don't want to clutter the stateroom and I don't want a 5 yr old asking over and over can he open the package and play. Too much to do on board and don't want to loose anything...

Yes we have done this. We shipped a box from our resort home from the office (business center) and also from WDW. When at WDW you have the option to send all your purchases to the business center to pick up on your way out the gates. Once you get to the business center you can ask them to mail all your purchases to your home. This made it MUCH easier traveling to our cruise and back home. Because we found we didn't wear our tennis shoes we also sent other items home that we did not use to free up space in our luggage.

Your son could take his gift back to the resort and then package it up from there and send it home. I recommend you take packaging tape with you!!

You have a 3rd option. The postal service has flat rate boxes (the boxes are free you can order them online or pick them up at your post office). If you affix the proper postage to them the hotel should mail them for you. Check with yours. I mailed a bunch of stuff from my hotel home doing this. The boxes are flat and you won't need tape.

You can have it shipped from the parks and WOD. They charge shipping, but remove the tax if it's out of state.

You can also pack a flat box, tape and a mailing label and bring it to the front desk of the hotel to mail.

You can bring it to a mail boxes, etc.

DS6 is celebrating his 7th at WDW in August and we plan to let him pick out anything in the Lego store (have mercy) in addition to smaller things we have bought for him already.

Okay, here's one for ya...I plan on shipping our formal clothes ahead of to the ship, how do I ship them back home after the cruise? :confused3 We won't be spending any time at the parks this trip.
