Magnolia Bend or Alligator Bayou?

So after having to give up staying in a tree house for our January trip because the prices got raised so much higher for 2013 , I've decided to book rooms at Port Orleans for my family--and after weeks of indecision I've finally decided on Riverside lol. But now I need some help between MB and AB! I suppose I could just book a room and let fate decide, but I'd like to put in a request for one or the other. So which area do you like better? We are all adults, in case that influences the decision any.

Also, does anyone have pics of the new rooms at both places? Most I've seen are of the pre-refurb. Thanks!

We've stayed at both and liked Magnolia Bend much better!! We love the layout and the buildings with the incredible rose gardens. There is also a quiet pool that was very relaxing!!

I like AB, but it's just a matter of personal preference.

Look at the room pics on allearsnet.com and see which you would like to request.

You can request an area, but if you're a party of four you may be placed in Magnolia Bend if AB is booked with families of five. This has happened to us twice. We requested anywhere in AB, but ended up in MB.

We prefer AB just for atmosphere (personal taste), though Magnolia Bend is also very nice.

we will only be two people per room (maybe 3 in one room), so I guess that might make it less likely for us to be in Alligator Bayou?

How different are the grounds around the two parts?

I like the look of MB better, but since they've updated the decor in AB, it wouldn't bother me as much to be there.

Also it seems that ALL the preferred rooms are in AB and ALL the princess rooms are in MB, so if you have one of those categories in mind, you can't end up in one of the other sections.

With my opinion comes the fact I have never stayed in AB however we absolutely LOVE MB! We have stayed there 4 times and will stay there again in a heartbeat! So charming and beautiful. Good luck with your choice.
